  1. Doesn't apply to Jordan James though as he is a loan signing.
  2. Yeah. Nelson and Fatawu too. As long as they were born after 1st of Jan 2004.
  3. Fatawu, Nelson and Silko were all born after Jan 1st 2004 so all qualify as u21s.
  4. Loads. By my count, we have like 5 spaces left.
  5. I knew you could sign free transfers outside of the window, I didn't know that you could register them.
  6. Wasn't the league registration last week?
  7. Not bringing on Bowie, much less starting him is moronic. He's the only player in the Scotland squad who's scoring right now besides Conway who isn't in the squad.
  8. Cowboys fan and I dont see us making the playoffs. Uncle Jerry is off his meds again.
  9. In the last season that we went down, we were bold and spent £40 odd million, we got promoted again and it far from balanced the books. This season we DO look to have steadied the ship slightly, promoted or not.
  10. This makes sense...
  11. Yes. Because even though they played well, we had absolutely zero creativity and won those games through moments of brilliance from players who SHOULD keep their place, mainly Fatawu. Other than those moments, we didn't create much and that caused us to have to defend as hard as we did.
  12. The fact the game is almost 2 weeks away, I don't think that will matter. Maybe for James who will be away with Wales.
  13. Who are the 25? By my count it's 23 players who are 21 or over...
  14. I know it doesn't seem like a pressing issue, and in a way it isn't but in a way, it also is. To most, including me, it's just a logo on a shirt but to a club that's trying to financially reset itself after being horribly mismanaged for the last few years, it is a revenue stream that we are currently missing out on. We done some decent work in the transfer window getting ourselves on the right side of PSR and that will continue next season when the big contracts of Ayew, Daka, Soumare, Winks etc expire so we are taking steps into becoming more financially stable, it just seems weird that there is such an obvious opportunity to increase our income that we aren't taking. Even if it's a small company who aren't paying crazy amounts, it's more than we are being paid right now.
  15. We didn't get all of them, sure but we probably cut out about 20m a year from the wage bill and as you pointed out, more will leave next year. We didn't get IN this mess in one season and we aren't going to get OUT of it in one season.
  16. It's NOT the sign of a healthy football club, this is true but we aren't healthy. We all know this. It's not a secret. This IS the sign of a reset though and thats how we get healthy. We need a reset. Ship out the big wages and bigger egos and start again. We began that process in this window and we will continue it next year. It may not be pretty but it's what needs to be done.
  17. I think a lot will depend on Winks and Faes and whether or not their attitude changes now the window has closed. There is no doubt that they are two of our better players in those respective positions but it will all depend on how they apply themselves. One is out of contract next year and will need to play for a decent move and the other has a WC squad to try and get into.
  18. Every single person at the club SHOULD have had their PSR specs on. Yes, the regulations are dumb. Yes, we should never have been in that position but we were and getting out of it was far more important than anything else. In this window, we done what we had to do to get right way up again. We can complain about how the club is being run up until this point but we can't demand that they get us out of it then moan when they do what is necessary to get us out of it.
  19. Looks like he's going to Celtic.
  20. Celtic now looking like signing Ihneacho. Contract terminated at Sevilla.
  21. Solid 7.5/10. You can talk all you want about the fact we should never have been in the position we were and you would be right but the reality is that we were and I feel the club done what it had to do to get us out of it. We have gotten ourselves on the right side of PSR (this season at least) by not only bringing in close to £60m in transfers but also MASSIVELY cut our wage bill (surely by around £25m+ anything year) with it also due to reduce substantially at the end of the season with the contract of Winks/Soumare/Daka and Ayew expiring. That lot leaving on top of the money for Bilal coming in next year has already given is a headstart on beating FFP next year too. We signed 4 players, all in the most pressing positions that we needed, who hopefully will improve us on the pitch but if they don't, we are not tied to any of them but have the potential to make them permanent if they are successful. We also done this without spending any substantial amount of money (outside loan fees) On the negative side, we all know there are players still here who aren't good enough like BDCR, Soumare etc and players who don't want to be here like Winks and Faes but at least the latter two HAVE already contributed to our season and will be interesting to see how their attitudes are going forward now the transfer window has closed. If they want to get a decent move next year, they are going to have to play for it and that will require them getting their heads down. Im honestly pretty happy. We are stronger as a club now than we were when the window opened. Not least OFF the pitch.
  22. Happy with this one. A gamble considering he just came back from injury but if he IS over it, he will be a good player for us.
  23. Not done yet.
  24. Feel good about this one. Hopefully there IS an option.
  25. There is always Saudi...
