Protests where happening around the bus regardless of him being on it or not.

Not agreeing with you doesn't mean that I am offended. It comes from the fact that I don't understand the sympathy. He knew what he was walking in to. He was financially rewarded for his own failures and in truth, it wasn't really that "brutal". Fan protests and sweary words directed towards him is part of his job. Particularly when you are so bad at it.

Dyche then?

What's to feel bad about? Him losing his job is NOT equal to you or i losing ours. In the last year he has banked MILLIONS of pounds in being sacked alone. That isn't to mention the tens of thousands he has earned whilst being hopeless at his job. This isn't a "hate the rich" type of deal. This is a "unlike the average person, him losing his job will not affect his ability to care for his family or pay the bills" kinda deal and at the end of the day, it won't be too long before he is back in a job, earning more than enough to live comfortably. So, what's to feel bad about?

It's not an option. It is an obligation and good riddance. He's a good player with the potential to be a VERY good player but he (along with the rest of the team) didn't do enough in the PL, which saw us relegated. Where he didn't want to play and get us back. I don't want players like that in the team.

Also.... is he the illegitimate love-child of Steven Pressley?

Cartwright scores against rangers.

I can't disagree more. I would argue that his physical strength is one of his top qualities and certainly what sets him apart from pretty much anyone his age.

Daka reminds me of air conditioning in Scotland. Runs well but utterly pointless.

Is it going to work? No idea but he's changing it up and trying different approaches. Thats all we can ask for at this stage.
-
Well... yes. Marti's tactics very much seem to be set up to try and create one on one opportunities for the wingers. Wingers should want these situations but when they do happen, it's up to them to win that contest and beat their man without any support. If our FB pushes up alongside him or overlaps, it's no longer 1-1 as he drags opposition players with him and the area gets crowded. That's why the support usually comes from underlapping runs through the middle which our FBs have been doing. It maintains the space for our wingers to beat their man. The problem is, this all falls apart if the winger isn't beating his man but that isn't on Marti. That is on the winger.

No. Alves means "plain by a cliff" in Gaelic and that's what the village is called in Moray where the name originated.
-
Then we aren't mispronouncing it at all then because we say it like Will says it. Al-vez.
-
The Scottish origin of the name isn't pronounced how it's written at all though. English folk always mispronounce it, even those who have it. There are two origins of the name, Portuguese and Scottish and neither rhymes with valves.

I'm so tired watching Wout Faes run in terror from attackers!
-
Please, please remember guys, we are not allowed to be frustrated even though we keep putting out the same team, playing the same toothless football. People here dont like it.
-
But it would be more fair than any alternatives whether we liked it or not.
-
No. I want the game awarded to Blackburn as it seems the fairest possible decision given the circumstances.
-
In what world is that fair? Your taking away Blackburns advantage of being fresher (they had already played against 10 men for half an hour) AND their home advantage by removing the crowd?
-
You CAN'T replicate the same conditions. Ipswich played with a man down for half an hour, their players are going to be more tired as a result of having to pick up the slack. How do you replicate that?
-
Ipswich were down to 10 men and had been playing the whole second half a man down so would have been more tired. The only fair way to do this is award Blackburn the match.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't he sent off last time we played Cov? It's not another game for him, he owes us a good performance against this lot.
-
They do. But there IS a difference between someone JUST passing it and being newly qualified and somebody who aced the tests and has 10 year experience on the job. Which would you rather taking you to Benidorm?... Just because they both passed the tests doesn't mean their skill levels are equal.

The Running Thread (formerly How fast can you run a 5k?)
Scotch replied to Sly's topic in General Chat
About a year since I started my weight loss/running journey but finally hit the 5k in under 30 minutes mark. Not being 19st anymore helps.
