@ramadaonementioned something about maddison and kdh not getting on with Viktor. Tonight's match has made it pretty clear it spreads in their clique, like @Hales said, Barnes won't pass to him and neither will Kdh. Seems their not happy about their mate being dropped for him. Ah well, Thomas' performance tonight will have certified it anyway.

Genuinely one of the best players that we'll ever see grace the shirt. The way he moves across the pitch like a hot knife through butter, just gliding past the opposition is stunning to watch. Not to mention his technical prowess, we haven't seen such ability since Cambiasso. On the defensive side of his game, we all know that the opposition players are bricking it when they know they've gotta play against Soumare. You can try to get past this titan of a man, and maybe you will succeed. But he will never give up the chase on getting that ball back, that's a fact. With his industrious engine and burst of pace, nobody has a chance of escaping Soumare's wrath. I'll always be thankful that the club took a chance on Soumare. It would have been the easy option to go for someone experienced with a bit of nous in controlling the game, but we knew better. Now we've been blessed with one of the best midfielders in the league.

Right, how can our owners look at Rennes last night and not want the same atmosphere for us? Maybe the guy on the PA leading the chants was a bit much, but that ground was so loud, and the banner behind the goal looked cracking. Now, I know every player has a different engine, different physical abilities, but I do wonder why Soumare doesn't look at KDH and take some notes. Obviously KDH is faster and maybe more agile due to Soumare's taller and stronger build, but he has no excuse to not fight to win the ball back in the same way KDH does.

How long can this go on? Been a serious issue for Rodgers' tenure. How can he keep letting this happen season after season. Are the board not concerned? No desire to go out and hire a dedicated set piece coach. I know Rodgers said we have one, but he's clearly jot earning his money.

I know Watford aren't the best team in the league, but it's so nice to see runners off the ball for us, and passes to people that are further than 5yards away. Yeah not every long pass is gonna make it through but it just takes one.
