  1. Southampton one is a funny one, like some have said a top 10 finish and cup final but then less points than last season and unattractive football. Maybe they have been fortunate and had managers who have over-performed? Can't be an easy job when you constantly get your team sold off with little reinvested back into the team. There is no way the club can continue to constantly selling but expect progressive success.
  2. Yes easily worth that kind of money, he could of quite easily won PFA last season (was difficult decision between Kante, Mahrez and even Vardy) and is a rare player in regards to the 'makalele role' Turning £5m into £30m does look good business but knowing the players potential/ability you know it really wasn't. We got lucky finding a player of his calibre so cheap but we should of been forced to sell at a ridiculous price especially to a PL rival.
  3. Doubt anything will come from it but German teams once again showing why they are so much better than English teams in regards to listening and looking after their own fans.
  4. I think they have mobile phones mate.
  5. I heard it a few times last summer by a few people and also a few on here say it was good business at the time. Was obvious even last summer that Kante was valued a lot more than what we sold him for. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Chelsea got an absolute bargain with him.
  6. We made over 5 times the amount we paid for him though
  7. I'm not saying fans opinion, I meant the media. Kante only got spoken about end of Feb time last season? And it was how he is a good player etc etc with praise mounting per week. Because he has moved to Chelsea he is now the best in the world. Yes consistency of 18 months playing at that level can back it up but doubt he would be given that sort of plaudits if he was still here, same will be with Ndidi. There is no reason why they can't. I've said it numerous times this season that we have a committed and pretty gifted core in our squad, I'm sure they can take this club to another level.
  8. I'm not saying Kante isn't a quality player cause he obviously is, I just feel that Ndidi isn't far off that standard already but with more to his game and with 5/6 years on Kante.
  9. Hell never be a good enough player until he leaves us anyway Kante was a good player but now he is at Chelsea he is considered the best in the world now. Ndidi is quality! Looks like he has been playing prem for years! For me he is better than Kante because he offers more and pretty much does the job of Kante.
  10. The only reason CR kept his job as long as he did this season was because of what he achieved last season. Poor campaign last season followed with the results and performances we had, everyone would of been calling for his head back in December.
  11. I get the whole 'give the lad time' some players struggle to adapt to the demands of a new league, new country etc. yes we have seen glimpses of his potential but unfortunately they are very few and far between. If he looked to have any form of desire to play for starters it would go along way to the fans - many players have struggled but at least look as if you are trying to do something. There have been too many occasions now literally the basics of football have failed with him; pass the ball, control a receiving ball, running with the ball in easy circumstances, that to me isn't someone who needs time to settle, it is someone who is playing at a level way beyond their current ability.
  12. Fraudster. Didnt we get warned about how poor he actually is before we signed him from some Nigerian fans and we dismissed them? I like to give players time before making an opinion on them but he is technically poor and looks to show no fight/desire for the team when he is given a chance.
  13. Personally think Ndidi will go on to be a better player than Kante. I think he has all the attributes to be an all round better player, think he is a mixture of Pogba and Kante plus he is younger than both of them so his potential is huge. Great stamina, reads the game really well with passing and interceptions, he will get you a few goals a season, good on the ball and also able to win a few in the air.
  14. The teams set up completely different this season and as a team we don't look to want to play on the front foot driving the ball forward - that's as a whole and not just an individual. I think its unfair to say he releases the ball as quickly as possible without no tactic, how do you know what he has been advised to do as an individual? If you watched Kantes performances the start of this season you would of realised that he was only asked to intercept/tackle and release the ball to Matic to refresh possession, because Matic is the better ball playing midfielder - this was even if Matic was a foot away from him, did that mean Kante wasn't good enough to play for Chelsea or that the ball is a hot spud to the guy? Also, if you look at our stats from last season you would see that we was one of the worst teams at maintaining possession (pretty much same as this season just that it worked for us last year) for however good Kante was he was poor in possession and also poor once he hit 3/4 of the way up the pitch - looking at the two there isn't a massive amount of difference between the two in terms of the role they are being asked - yes Amartey isn't in the same quality as Kante but he is providing the same role as breaking up the play and getting rid to a player who can provide more threat with it. (Supposingly) no one has said he is as good as Kante and no one has said his our stand out player, he has just matured into the role asked of him of late and gave some solid individual performances like today.
  15. Our best player last season was basically a player who ran around a lot, intercepted or tackled? Think its easy to summarise a players role to sound so simple, I haven't been Amarteys biggest of fans since his arrival but to be fair to the lad he has really starting to show a potential - today was a really strong performance by him and although he isn't on the same level as Kante I think he but in as good as a shift. All teams need different types of players, last season Drinkys vision and passing worked well with Kantes engine and awareness - if anything I think Ndidi and Amartey could become the engine players and hopefully start allowing Drinky and Mendy to play their preferred role in the middle of the park that is like you said someone who can play football.
