  1. We’ll see! My point was simply that you could see why Ndidi played yesterday. He didn’t play as a DCM at all, but a right-sided KDH. Alas, his limitations in possession remain significant.
  2. Well. Where to start? I can only start by assuming all the Cooper-out bedwetters won’t read this. I thought we were decent yesterday, by some way our best performance of the season. We showed intensity from the off, players were determined to win their duels, and you could see a team working together & for each other. The selections of Ndidi & Ayew made perfect sense. Ndidi showed his limitations in possession but lead the press superbly with Vardy. While Ayew did what he was brought here to do: held the ball, carried it up the pitch, drew fouls & protected his full back. Expect to see that 433 against top 8 sides, because it largely worked. The timing of the first substitutions was spot on IMO. We were on top & looking likely to get the next goal, so why change? The reason to change was Villa scoring against the run of play, & Cooper reacted immediately. The change then to 4141 worked too. We actually ended in stoppage time playing 316! More positives: Mads was superb, the back four wasn’t going to be embarrassed by pace, Okoli showed promise on his full PL debut, as did Skipp & Ayew. We lost to a better team & because we as a unit were asleep for their first. For the first time this season I have hope. I can see a plan. We were well coached yesterday, and I have some optimism that we might get the results we need against bottom half teams.
  3. Literally incredible that we're going to have poorer striking options from now til at least January than we had in the Championship. Shambles of a club.
  4. I don’t understand you well enough to help you. Soz & all that.
  5. Why do people do this? Genuinely can’t understand. Is it a cry for help?
  6. That’s almost certainly true. But we don’t know that a deal hasn’t already been done, subject to the player coming through this crucial game unscathed. I hasten to add, I have zero optimism on this.
  7. Mav's first half performance was appalling - over-elaborate, poor decision-making, showboating, no end product. He just about redeemed himself second half, no doubt after a word from Coops.
  8. This Luke Thomas chap. Any relation to the professional footballer used to play for us?
  9. Is it too soon to despair?
  10. Mavididi showing why Coops hasn’t been picking him. Ndidi awful but shouldn’t be playing there. Alves now for Wilf please.
  11. Not in tonight’s squad, so…
  12. There’s incompetence and there’s Leicester City incompetence… Or the journalist is talking out of his backside?
  13. LCFC with the Graucho Marx approach to negotiations. You don’t like our opening bid? We have others…
  14. I do wonder about this club. Ayew had his medical on Thursday and I’m pretty sure Cooper would’ve liked him to be available for Saturday. What took so long?
  15. That’s not how you spell arse…
  16. Well, we bid over £20m for Soule knowing we’d need a striker as well, so I doubt you’re right?
  17. Too expensive or we thought overpriced? I don’t think we know that. Our interest, if genuine, could have initially been for a loan. Once Liverpool decided they wanted to sell, we might have expressed an interest at say, up to £15m? Truth is, we don’t know. What we do know is the manager will have given Martin Glover a list of profiles of players that he wanted. Glover and his team will have had several options for each of those. We’ve tried and failed to land a couple of (probably) first choices. We’re now working though the lists. My only problem with signing Skipp will be if it in any way prevents the signing of the attacking midfielders, striker and LB that we need, and which I’m sure we’re trying to sign.
  18. Share the frustration Ric but we don’t know that we were interested in Carvalho. You may argue we should have been but that’s another matter.
  19. In answer to the OP: A new Chairman A new Chief Executive and A new Director of Football
  20. Shambles of a club
  21. Very much so. Stengs, meanwhile, has committed to Feyenoord.
  22. At the risk of overwhelming @Ric Flair, could Calvin Stengs still be a possibility?
