  1. Captain next season. And the only established first team player I'd like to see here next season.
  2. I’m not sure you understand how this works? For example, you can’t sell an out-of-contract player, never mind Danny Ward.
  3. The GOAT, no question, and my favourite player of all time too. But he's outstaying his welcome and become part of the problem. He has to go at the end of the season. With love, thanks & best wishes. But go.
  4. Agreed, except the Dyche point! But the biggest problem we have is the Chairman, DoF and CEO, who will lead the process to recruit the next manager. I wouldn't trust them to run a whelk stall. The only big decision they got right in recent years (Enzo) was pure luck, thanks to Scott Parker saying no.
  5. Have you clocked who employs him?
  6. I think Daka made a very strong case tonight for never playing for us again! But I agree that Evans surely won’t be our starting striker next season. We’ll need one if not two strikers. Hopefully Evans will be second or third choice?
  7. Drain the swamp!
  8. 100% true. And it’s worse than that @ClaphamFox. Enzo was plan B after our first choice, Scott Parker. Another couple with similar visions, not. Then, when we decided, rightly or wrongly, to get rid of Cooper, our shortlist of two was Potter (for the 3rd time) & Moyes. I mean, in what world would a competent board even consider both? It wouldn’t happen at Brighton or any of thx other clubs mentioned in your post. And you’re forced to wonder if the club even contemplated both Potter and Moyes turning them down. Because plan C was a pure punt, not remotely evidence based.
  9. He’s not good enough for the level we’re temporarily at. He knows that, we know that. But, unlike Coady, Vestegaard & some others, he’s saleable. We can & will get £5-10M for him this summer from some European team, & if we had a competent DOF, we’d snatch their hands off at any bid in that range. Unfortunately, our DOF turned down £4M for Iverson and £10M for, ahem, McAteer…
  10. It’s too late, isn’t it? It might’ve helped 18 months ago or even last summer. But having let the same people make the same mistakes and the club sleep walk to relegation for the second time in three years, an apology would now be seen for what it would be: cynical, insincere & leading to no meaningful change. We’re now in Rudkin goes or Top goes or both go territory. No other way forward that doesn’t see even more toxicity
  11. Mads is the only player we have now who would get in the relegation XI of 2023. That tells you two profoundly awful things: 1 how on earth did 22/23 end in relegation? Top? Rudders? Brendan? The most avoidable relegation ever. 2 how far we’ve fallen under the same incompetents in two years
  12. Caka
  13. The flaw in that argument is that were we to win promotion next season, we’d still have Faes, Vestegaard, Ayew & DCR stinking up the place & costing a fortune in wages. Try getting rid of chaff when they’re on those wages!
  14. Given my season ticket away for this one. And in what I’m pretty sure is a first, I’ll choose not to watch it on TV either. Watching a recent Fulham game on the box, and remembering just how awful Castagne was in that 5-3 drubbing, it made me think just how far we’ve fallen. Timmy is still miles better than all of our defenders (possibly bar Ricardo) and used to get pelters on here, I felt often unfairly. I’ve been watching us 60 years now and Castagne is comfortably in the top 5/6 right backs we’ve had in that time, even allowing for his failings. When will we next have a full back that good? When will we next have a CB of PL quality? A midfielder to rival Tielemans and Maddison?
  15. Of course, domestic football started in 1992 and European football started whenever we replaced the European Cup with this now bloated & rigged farce called the Champions League. Celebrating reaching the quarter finals?! Give over, Villa are former winners!
  16. He was in my first draft! But you can’t leave Walshy out!
  17. Schmeichel Coatsworth Walsh Huth Thatcher Mauchlen Lennon Mills Clarke Izzet Howard
  18. Mads Woyo JJ Okoli Kristiansen Wilf Ricardo Facundo Bilal Mavs Pato I can’t bear the thought of seeing Faes, Coady or Vesty ever playing for us again. I realise I’m going to have to tolerate them all for several more years yet, but can’t wait to see Souttar & Nelson or Okoli next season. PS. I can really. In fact I can probably wait a few years before going again…
  19. He wouldn’t. Why? Because the board know this is on them.
  20. Excellent post, but it only scratches the surface! A couple of years ago, on the Big Strong Leicester Boys podcast, @Ric Flair had a monumental rant, with each of a long list of negligent leadership accusations ending ‘f**k you!’ aimed at the person responsible. From memory, the utterly absurd contracts given to semi-broken players like James, Ricardo & JJ, or to past-its like Albrighton featured heavily. I’d love to hear it again - it was absolutely spot on!
  21. I’ve never been to Grebland but am concerned that they can’t spell the names of two of our best ever players there? Shame.
  22. We might be. Especially if fans & players give up on the King Power project, which also looks likely. But committing to the stadium expansion would be a massive statement of intent. I’d be on board with that, as would many others I’m sure.
