His contract is till 2028 so we have at least one season before we need to make a decision . As we saw in our relegation season, goaltending is the most important single position on the pitch & I don't feel this is the season to gamble.

We could replace him for less but we would take a hit in the quality dept !! He is a modern day goalkeeper with loads of talent who we should build our team around.

Spotrak has him at 40k a week. We would probably have to pick up 30 of that on a loan.

I would be extremely disappointed to see Mads leave in this window !! Partly because I think he is an excellent keeper & partly because I would be worried that someone might think Ward could be our starter/backup ...

I agree that Cooper is a more complete manager who can adapt his style to the players he has. Maresca was a one trick pony who struggled to change when things weren't working.

It shows the lack of Welsh goalkeepers in that Ward has managed to keep his international place while not playing for his club. I had hoped that a deal could be worked out with Wrexham but Ward earns too much for that to happen. I guess it's cheaper in the long run to keep him as the third keeper rather than pay a part of his salary while he plays elsewhere. I will never understand how we paid so much for him & then gave him such good contracts.

I believe that as well !! A couple more incoming transfers & we will have a very good team with a very good manager !!

That would be an extremely conservative approach that would tell our younger players that they have a limited future here. Nelson, Alves & Braybrooke are ready & need game time.

It will be very interesting to see what Cooper decides to do with the abundance of young talent this season. It's a difficult position in that we will need to make up points but the young lads wont improve until they play at a higher level. Loans with provision to recall in January might work !!

While you were watching YouTubers he was chatting with Nigel Pearson. When you were reading message boards he was watching training.When you were chatting in the pub he was in a meeting with 19 other owners. We truly do not know a lot about Top but we do love to assume.!!

He has been in and around high level football for quite some time & even with his close association with Rudkin he has seen & experienced more than any foxestalk member. That move really sums up LCFC. Brilliant one day & plain stupid the next. They have made some incredible moves & followed them up with terrible ones.... There seems to be no logic at all. !!!
