He was excellent playing for a superior team in an inferior division. He reads the game well & is a lovely passer but playing for an inferior team in a superior division would expose his lack of mobility.

I'm sure no-one at the club is aiming for 17th and obviously every one wants a higher place finish. I'm also sure everyone understands that survival in our first season is the objective. I believe Cooper can & will keep us safe but I don't believe Rudkin & company have the know how to make the club successful.

For the first season back in the Premier for any team the goal is survival . Obviously a higher finish is better but we will need to assemble a better team than what we have & that is going to take time & some top class scouting. I have very little faith in Rudkin or Top being able to make good transfer decisions.

Agree %100... Cooper is safe's long as he keeps the club away from the drop zone & I'm fine with that. 17th place is the goal here & anything above that is Gravy.

I think you mean your wish as it isn't mine. My confidence in upper management having a contingency plan is extremely minimal. We saw what happened when they tied a can to Rodgers ass !!!! The contingency plan was to give the job to the goalie coaches . You are trusting the people who hired Cooper to properly replace him !! Good Luck !!

Yes ... We saw what happened at Burnley & what is happening at Southampton. Style without substance will get a team relegated. I will accept winning ugly if it means survival.

Most watched/televised league in the world. Some of the best players in the world Biggest money league in the world I don't feel it produces the most entertaining football in the world though . Six very good teams & the rest of us there to make up the numbers. Maybe the Super League was the answer.

Wanting your team to lose badly is definitely not rational. Every point takes us closer to safety & every loss closer to relegation.

I've stuck with City for a long, long time but there is something about Southgate that really irritates me !! I really don't agree when you say he's been relatively successful ... He managed a group of players that were extremely talented but never won anything with them. He beat teams that he should have beaten but that's it. He is possibly even more negative than Cooper !!!
