During the worst game of football I’ve ever witnessed, a goalless draw with WBA in an Anglo-Italian Cup game circa 1993 (I’m pretty sure neither side wanted to progress), the only shot of the match from Phil Gee hit me full in the face in Pen 4 and knocked me clean out.

My non-league club is Ilkeston, it’s £13 a game and they make a lot more effort than our rabble. On a side note, they’ve just got to the County Cup final at Shame Park, I had to buy a ticket off the club site and I now have a “Ram ID”. I feel violated.

Many might see it as an opportunity to get their first season ticket and a lot won’t want to fall behind with their points/lose the chance of a ST in future. It’s also worth remembering that, for a lot of fans, success on the pitch isn’t that crucial to their enjoyment of a match day.

I think change will come in the summer when season ticket renewals plummet, especially if we’re in L1.

As far as the youth is concerned I would imagine he’s protecting them from a pretty toxic atmosphere at the KP. If Rowett is given a pre season I expect to see much more of the young guns.
