  1. If anyone else wants to do the Rudkin thought it was 11pm joke, could you make it clear if you’re being ironic please?
  2. Betis have signed Antony, that’s like spending all night trying to pull Kathy Burke and you end up shagging Holly Willoughby.
  3. I’m beginning to think there’s a chance this won’t happen.
  4. Rudkin put the deal sheet in 14 seconds before 5pm.
  5. If he sits on his shoulders we’ll be laughing.
  6. Hang on, I was reading their fans saying he’s a target man and he’s 5’9” ffs!
  7. A target man will suit us with Monga, Mavididi and Fatawu all good at cutting in. It presents opposition defences with a dilemma too, defend high and allow space in behind out wide or defend deep and get hit through the middle.
  8. No and not the 2nd or 3rd either
  9. Top preparing to sell the club?
  10. I’d say his point is valid, Akinbiyi had pace, strength and movement that led to his inability to finish being highlighted. Daka never looks like getting into a goalscoring position in a lot of his games. Add to this that Daka has had a season in the Championship as well as a lot of European games against lesser sides and you have a close run thing.
  11. Rodri with a double amputation would still be better than Skipp.
  12. Can’t imagine this would get done unless he’s already in Italy or en route.
  13. I’ll support him because I’m the pragmatic sort but I absolutely get why others would boo. The instagram thing is pathetic and he needs to grow up and appreciate the privileged position he is in. If he gets his head down and does the business on the pitch, we’ll get the fee and he’ll get the move. Everyone wins.
  14. The difference being when you sign a fixed term contract, where you’re paid even if your incompetent, and the return for that is you can’t ply your trade elsewhere until the expiry of that contract.
  15. So has my Corsa and it turns as quickly too.
  16. Our deal was undisclosed but the EPL wouldn’t allow owners to sponsor the shirt for more than £11.2m per season.
  17. They made a decent start the last time we were in the championship and dropped off dramatically.
  18. I think we could kiss goodbye to Monga now if, by signing a contract with us, it prevented him ever playing at the top level.
  19. I think he wants to spend Monday to Friday with the family and have weekends off. Laughable entitlement from a player on £60k a week who is nowhere near EPL quality anymore.
  20. If we were buying him for £5m I’d be cursing JR again.
  21. Mid 80s I’d say
  22. I can remember Jim Melrose, a coach and a youth team player coming to our primary school for a q&a. The Mercury also had access to all levels of the club to keep fans informed even when things weren’t going so well on the pitch.
  23. I agree with that but it wasn’t the post I was responding to.
  24. Needing a wheelchair and not wanting to stand for a couple of hours are very different things but maybe the whole world revolves around you and people should adapt their lives to suit you.
