He’ll stay, we’ll have to pay too much to get rid of him to make it worthwhile. Best chance we’ve got is benching him for the first few games and giving him no minutes, he might worry that he won’t get an England recall and take any move he can get.

We also rely on clubs, that have to be above us to afford their wages, to get so far down their list of targets they’re prepared to sign players with multiple relegations on their CVs.
