  1. Anyone got any evidence of past ownerships of clubs similar to ours that have had success in the modern era, then overseen mind blowing decline, initially refused to make ruthless changes to learn from our mistakes, eventually made such changes and steered the club back to something their fanbase can be proud of?
  2. Up at 5.30am on a Saturday for a 15 miler. Have a good weekend all.
  3. As wild an assumption as I've ever read. You can't possibly know that he's started too early, his career would need to nose dive and even then would have to be evidenced he was effected by being played in the 1st team too early. There's absolutely loads of examples of young players coming through and being the shining light in a period of doom and they go on to have sustained professional careers.
  4. You've charmed me
  5. Let's do a park run vlog each 😂
  6. That's excellent going. I was on for a 10km PB this week as well but as per usual the GPS in London was all over the gaff. I noticed for what it claimed was the opening 2km was a good 3 mins 0.5km - 0.75km off. I made sure I didn't deviate from my pace until it kicked in and sure enough I was then averaging 4 min 40/45 per km. So unofficially when I pieced what it should have been together it was more like around 47/48 min for 10km which my previous best is around 48.30. 10km is not really a distance I focus on but in trying to consistently bring my half marathon times down I'm getting some 10km PBs, which is a bonus. Do enjoy the distance, I think anything more than that is where it starts to become love/hate.
  7. I'll be back to tackle Woolacombe again in July. Vile
  8. This was a PSR deal wasn't it if KDH went to Brighton?
  9. King Power Out does indeed send a message. Whether our fanbase explicitly want our owners to sell up or just want to see tangible change doesn't detract from a strong message needed. I personally think this notion of King Power just making a few changes and all of the disconnect with our fanbase goes away is naive. There's potentially irreparable damage here and yet there's plenty of us torn on how we feel, stuck in the past because of the appreciation and admiration of how great this club once was and the part King Power played in that. So whether they deserve to remain custodians and owners of this football club or not, I firmly believe the way this ownership and operation conduct themselves is not conducive with a sustainable and happy fanbase because it's not realistic that we're going to challenge the best clubs in the country as a baseline. So you need to do more and I've seen precious evidence of that over the last decade and why some of us aren't feeling the way we feel or saying the things we say because we're crap again and a strong waft of entitlement stings our path. Some fans aren't motivated purely by success, if we were we'd not have supported Leicester for decade after decade. KING POWER OUT
  10. Possibly the sizing, kids aged 11-12 are probably in adults kits. The sizing is whack.
  11. It's this that's evaporated the last semblance of connection with me and our club, not the diabolical mismanagement and decline that we've witnessed over recent years. I don't want anything to do with my football club if this is the lack of morals they have in desperation to raise funds to try and cover up for the horrendous mistakes and financial problems we have. Not for me Clive. Won't spend another penny on our football club until I see evidence of major change (bar taking my son U21 academy games when convenient).
  12. Hahahaaaaa good grief, that must be one of the hardest in Great Britain?!
  13. Bet that was ace, love all round that area.
  14. Rohl's release clause is apparently £4m to a PL club or £2m to a Championship club.
  15. I worry the disaster of RvN will scare them that an up and coming managet is not the way to go next and we need a safe pair of hands. The reality is that whoever it is, there's a much bigger overhaul needed and without it I'm no longer able or willing to get behind it. I need to see drastic and sustained change, otherwise that's me done until Top sells up.
  16. I hope he is item one on every agenda at Rudkin and Glovers 1:1's with their direct reports and at monthly board meetings. Everything that is wrong with this football club can be traced from decisions such as this.
  17. Wasn't it last summer when Maresca had left?
  18. You put way too much confidence in this current ownership and board knowing how to fix this.
  19. Of course it's Russell Martin, it's been him since the club put the feelers out in May 2023. At some point he's ending up here. Now he's got a promotion to his name and proven he cannot organise a defence at any level as well as playing that absolutely pointless possession for possessions sake football that our ownership is obsessed with. Just do it already so we can get it over and done with and hopefully the final act of this ownership before we get a new era.
  20. That 0.01 xG vs Chelsea last week must have got the juices flowing for Ruud to stick with this again.
  21. Hahahahahahahaa and still no Monga or Evans in the squad. Sublime.
  22. He signed a 2 year deal pal
  23. You watched yesterday's and thought he was only OK? Christ alive, how on earth have you stomached watching us for this long.
  24. Good point about signing on fees. It may well be spread over the length of the contract so he'd have two years remaining but might just be wrapped up in his wages. Briggs needs a loan IMO, I rate him but I think he's one who needs a League One/Two loan for 6 months + The one other player in their position I'm massively impressed by is Louis Page, could well be the biggest talent of the lot you know.
