  1. Just on my first tin
  2. Unless I'm mistaken, Vestergaards not been in any of the footage shown this week in training. Cooper said there's no injuries as well.
  3. Will score tonight
  4. He also said he was one of the best young centre backs in English football.
  5. What went wrong was we'd maxed out wages and didn't have enough of a resource pool to be making MORE signings and MORE sales, even having to account for losses. We never had that conveyor belt operation. Our success was 4-5 monumental returns / profit on our players.
  6. What unsettled Villa was when Bounanotte and El Khannouss came on more than what had occurred in the first hour. I think there's occasions the more defensive trio are useful but it'll be clear to see when we come up against teams thst we may have more of the ball (we had more vs Villa actually) or who sit back then it'll look more limited and why we'll need to be accustomed to how our creative players influence this team.
  7. I'm like a young Craig David πŸ˜‚
  8. Need to mitigate in how appalling Sheffield Utd, Luton and Burnley were and his run of form that got him sacked when assessing last season. After 17 games, those 3 were all on 8 points and Forest on 14. They actually started the season quite well but then nose dived. I do think that end to his time there is still effecting him, he and we desperately need a win and things may well kick on.
  9. Cooper's comments are fine in isolation, or carefully chosen at certain times. Don't forget we had a manager in Rodgers who would be so passive at times and as a result our team was soft. I don't mind this to a point and it is laughable how little has been said in the media of the decision. If that happens this weekend for Arsenal or Man City and the game ends a draw there'd be bodies. But and this is a big but, I've a feeling this is what Cooper does most times there's a contentious decision against his teams. If so, it's going to lose credibility in my opinion. There's a balance to find, but it's very difficult for a manager not to talk about this stuff. I'd be a nightmare πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  10. Sorry but I think this is extremely harsh on Okoli. He was very good 2nd half vs Villa and was strong the entire game vs Palace. So 75% of his PL appearances he's looked like he belongs at this level. It was the League Cup game he looked sloppy on the ball but he made some decent passes 1st half vs Palace thst surprised me. I too find it surprising Vestergaard isn't even in the squad and the games we come up against a low block is going to require his ability on the ball but we know we risk being exposes for pace when he plays, which we saw twice at Fulham. That said Villa also carved us open 1st half with the pace of Okoli so it's not a guarantee we get that protection. Which game has Skipp been crap in?
  11. I quite possibly have lost the plot, but not quite sure I ever had it in the first place pal πŸ˜‚ I take your comments on board, I don't disagree that I'm being unreasonable but I'm also explicitly clear on why I don't want him as our manager. Some people will be dumbfounded by my views because many don't care about anything but the result. I'm the opposite, whilst I want us to be successful and win games and have enjoyed the incredible periods we've had, I need a few non negotiables from my manager and club in their vision. Basically everything Cooper doesn't do. My manager would hold academy development and youth development as their number one principle above all, even at the risk of short term success. I want bravery for the cause, I've got absolutely no interest in the myth that is Premier League experience. I've also got no interest in being in the Premier League for the sake of it. I want to be there with a long term plan that we're there and stay there through executing it, not desperately trying to cling on to it by putting together a team of grafters. So whilst I'm perturbed we're likely to go down under Cooper, it's not the going down that panicks me, more being irked we're going to facilitate it with such a manager should it happen. Whilst I have no set style of football that I like, it's the risk taking, positivity and attacking intensity that I favour. So whilst you're absolutely right I've said there's parts of the games we've played this season that have captivated me, it's tarnished if we're setting up with the majority of our creative players on the bench or in the stands. I view managers as short term solutions to a long term club vision. I believe most managers ought to evoke a strong start as their fresh ideas and man management skills motivate and inspire the players. However I've seen what a short shelf life managers methods have with players and that's why I'm far more inclined to want change than most. I get that's extremely whacky but there's less and less examples of managers starting badly and becoming a success at a club and you have to therefore ask, what's the point of persisting with someone who's ill fitting and not getting the team to perform in what should be the honeymoon period. I don't care where my managers come from, I don't care if he's good looking, if he's funny, if he can speak well. I just want someone who is dedicated at developing young players, which you find plenty of managers do in other leagues in Europe. I don't see why we have to be a sheep and follow the majority of the Premier League. It bores the shit out of me, as does a lot of the modern ways of football.
  12. I wish he was as passionate to talk about player development of our young players, in particular our academy as he is about the refereeing injustices. Also he's managed to shoehorn referencing " experience " 5 times in to his presser. Exceptional from the man πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  13. Thanks pal, I'm also at the game on Saturday. Hope we both have an enjoyable experience or at the very least 3 pints. Edited to say, I meant 3 points, but either will do πŸ˜‚
  14. That's certainly one way of looking at it and is not necessarily unreasonable. However it's also extremely tight and precarious. His current run from his final 10-15 games at Forest and his start here has really knocked his stats down and I think that's why many are worried.
  15. If you're not going to put expectations on winning your home games against teams we anticipate being relegation candidates then I don't think it's fair for fans who stick up for results that go against us in games we'd not be expected to win ala Fulham away, Villa at home, Palace etc. The fact is nothing ever goes to plan, and at the very least to meet what's expected of you as a team it evens itself out. We've not yet won a game, if we don't win in what's quite possibly the easiest game on paper of the season to date then it's extremely poor.
  16. Probably exactly like this place before the opening game vs Spurs. All the hallmarks of an Everton result isn't it 😫😫
  17. I hold that higher than style of football in what's important for this football club. So depressing to see. I really hope at the very least if the club stick with Cooper that he is reminded of that ethos that we want at this club of academy players being developed in the first team.
  18. This very much comes down to giving someone a chance where the evidence suggests that's very dangerous to do so if we want to stay up.
  19. Yeah, which indicates he's not a pragmatist at all. He's just an extremely limited coach who will deploy a workmanlike team as a preference because that's all he knows. What have we done to deserve this
  20. He is more than good enough at this level. Stoke are a car crash at times so I hope he finds his feet eventually but it might not be the best gig for him. It's annoying as he had pretty much half the Championship want him.
  21. All feeding the narrative we're in an outright scrap and acceptance rather than evidence to effect change. We need to find the right balance somehow but Cooper hasn't yet been able to do so as a PL manager. His teams ship nearly 2 goals a game and score 1 which is atrocious. I think he'll need to test going more attacking for a spell as there's merit in doing so if defensively we're not massively worse than playing a back 9.
  22. Yeah, he needs 15 goals this season to get anything like that offered again and still the issue will stand with the wages he's on.

Bonded with an orb web spider a few years ago that seemed to build a shelter in a crevice near the window sill outside the kitchen window. It stayed there for several weeks and i even offered it a bit of ham once.
