  1. Hope we don't live to regret him turning down a permanent move this summer for £6m +
  2. I think the EFL need to tread extremely carefully with this. In a situation where there wasn't a past between club and league you wonder whether in this scenario there's any merit for the EFL to pursue this, therefore it's potential bias.
  3. now up now 2.1bn 😂
  4. Not sure how they can plump for the £83m losses though vs £105m. Not sure what their thresholds are when it comes to points per amount over the maximum losses.
  5. Fair comments
  6. I'm not convinced it was a lack of application with Tielemans, I think his professionalism has never been something I can question. He's a player that seems to suffer massive dips of form, like Sterling and Rashford to name a few and it borders on incredulous. Tielemans form flip flopped often season on season off. Look at how good he was for the final part of 2018/19 compared to struggling in 2019/20 despite the team itself achieving significantly. Followed by an excellent 2020/21 and so on so forth. He was also in excellent form up to the World Cup in 2022 and then after that like many it was a pitiful watch. No surprise though he's gone elsewhere and is now prospering.
  7. I'm confident we win this. It's deeply troubling if we don't but drawing on all the positives we have seen so far, it would be a real disappointment for it not to come together against the absolute pits of the league. We need a win bottom line, both club and manager. Get a win and we settle down a bit ahead of a run of games we can and ought to get a decent points return from and give us a springboard to keep the bottom three positions at bay. There's obvious pressure and we've no idea how strong this group is under Cooper but there's no getting away from it being must win territory. It's the potential to be a scruffy game, one I'd fear for us if they take the lead and we're expected to take the game to them but I also think if we take the lead, we win. Going for 2 nil Leicester Mavididi and Edouard late on
  8. What I meant was, that was the only logical reason I could see that we'd given him the job, not that they had done on that basis. Either way it's not even true 😂
  9. And is currently 1 win in 17
  10. Once as he's won 12 games in 59 games.
  11. Yes you're right, I was far too glossy eyed not to twig on that. He did a decent job of sorts with Swansea's players coming through but think most of them had already been blooded previously. If Alves doesn't play vs Walsall then it's a disgrace.
  12. I think this is why I'm so angered. I feel let down. The only logical reason to give the job to Cooper was the idea that he's got a great track record at academy player development. However, it appears to be one monumental myth. He's quite possibly the worst Leicester manager in that regard for as long as I can remember, despite our academy being at its most prestigious. There's not one single redeeming quality that Cooper possesses right now for this job. If there is, can somebody please prove it to me.
  13. And they'll probably go and get someone like Niko Kovac whilst we're lumbered with some British Tapas.
  14. Probably comes under the part he expects players to figure it out for themselves. Absolutely wild.
  15. This vision further makes me question him being here. He's not a fool proof survivalist or even close to one, he's had 1 season of doing so and last season and the start of this is an extension of a truly horrific run stretching over 17 games. With no looming points deduction we know of and still very much in touch with the pack at the bottom, it's a genuine option to make a change if there's now a better candidate willing to take it. Open to debate for sure.
  16. Or despite a modicum of positives it's just an extension of his appalling record as a Premier League manager and some deeply concerning decisions he's making very early on. Sprinkle that over him being the wrong fit for the club and from personal preference a manager who's football philosophy is everything I despise in football and here we are.
  17. Yeah, we had more possession than Villa. Was an odd game. We saw last season that Ndidi was devastating in the occasions we got to counter and less so when we had to break teams down. If his body holds up to it, the box to box role in certain games with a 10 playing will be key, as well as being the advanced midfielder in a central 3 when looking to play pure counter attacking football.
  18. Which is what makes his appointment so strange. Our club has spent the last decade trying to build the foundations of an excellent academy and I dread to think what financial position we'd be in if we hadn't generated £120m on Chilwell, Barnes and KDH in the last 4 seasons. We now have a manager obsessed with Premier League experience and we change course once again. Let's hope it doesn't do any long term damage.
  19. Yeah, which backs up the research I did yesterday. In 59 PL games, Cooper's sides have dropped points 9 times in the closing minutes. 4 times his teams have been 2+ goals to the good as well. 6 times winning and then gone on to lose in the dying moments. Our fans staunchly defending him can't say they haven't been warned.
  20. Despite the protestations of this midfield trio, he was excellent on Saturday. There are times he's extremely limited on the ball but the last 12 months he's grown in confidence in being switched on in all areas of the pitch and he's now put in some dominant displays in the final third. I'm glad he signed a new deal with us, I still don't think there are many ball winners better than him in our situation and certain opposition he's going to be extremely useful against as he wins said balls even higher up the pitch than before. He's a counter attacking dream but we need to understand when and where to play him depending on the opposition. This Saturday coming he's earnt the right to keep his place and of the midfield three I think Winks had the quieter game. It would be he who should drop out for Bounanotte or El Khannouss and have Ndidi and Skipp combining to protect and drive forward when the opportunity requires. The intricate football of previous is long gone, we're now all about seizing territory amongst the chaos and whilst it will be scruffy, it's engaging. For that reason he's integral at times.
  21. As I feared. He's spent the summer being very petulant in interviews because we didn't have any creative players arrive but it's quite clear he hasn't the bravery to use them unless we're chasing games. That's staggering. We all know it deep down, this is the bastard reincarnation of Gary Megson's tenure here.
  22. If we're going to play that central 3 then we need to have two out and out explosive wingers. Mavididi and Fatawu are good defensively as well so there's absolutely no reason not to play them. Ayew's major strength is his ability to run the clock down apparently, so use him for that if needs be. Vardy loves a goal vs Everton so whilst Edouard is going to start a good amount of games, I think Vardy should be kept in for this. If I'm changing any of the 3 midfielders after yesterday I'd sit Winks out, he was the worst of the three as Skipp and Ndidi had strong games. Hermansen Ricardo Faes Okoli Kristiansen Ndidi Skipp Fatawu Bounanotte Mavididi Vardy
  23. Recording tomorrow night pal
  24. Absolutely nothing to do with that, although I question the boards decision to make his job harder if he got off to a poor start (which we have) He's just an appalling manager at this level. We make it one win in the last 17 PL games for Cooper, absolutely wild. Did he used to field 7 defense minded players at you lot and then bring another 1-2 on? He gobbed off all summer about not having any creative midfielders and then he's got 3 of them and has shown he only wants them to come on in games when we're losing. He played 3 defensive midfielders at home to a League Two team in the cup 😂😂😂😂 the bloke makes Roy Cropper seems like an adrenaline junkie. Also, where's this myth he's an advocate of youth come from an'all? Complete disregard for our academy and seems irked he's not had more unnecessary PL experienced players brought in for him. Cannot believe he kept you up, just shows how abysmal we were that year to be fair. Some of his stats to go along with that 1/17 make for grim reading too. 9 games out of 59 in the PL, his teams have conceded in the last 10 mins to throw points away, 6 of which his team were leading but lost to goals in the last 10. 4 times from 2+ goals to the good his teams have thrown points away in the dying moments. I'm sure you remember the Luton, Bournemouth, Burnley, Brentford etc games. Tactical terrorism.
