For context Fofana has just gone to AC Milan from Monaco for €20m
-
Hideous business.
-
Hmmmmm I'm not sure. I think we'll spend another £10-15m on 1 player and get 1-2 more in on loan.
-
Someone please do a list of players that have transferred for less than £25m this summer. This is piss funny.
-
I could well see us having to bring a striker and attacking midfielder in on loan. Non priority positions should have been the loan deals, but here we are.
-
Reminds me of when i went Aldi and did all my bunce on a mig welder from the middle aisle and the wife went berserk as I'd only enough for some crisps and super noodles for the kids. So negative at times.
-
Gronbaek £11m, Oliver Skipp £20m + 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
-
Sell Soumare for £10m and Skipp in for £14m whilst more than I'd want to pay isn't the end of the world. We still need a striker and another attacking midfielder/left winger which surely costs us £30-35m
-
My reaction to this is based on other priority positions remaining unfilled. If we still get those sorted and Soumare is off then whilst Skipp is a little unimaginative, he is capable. Once again can't see how he fits in to a wage structure thst needs to be much lower.
-
I get that we are going to play a double pivot but I think we need a box to box midfielder in that role with Winks sitting.
-
If it's a loan and Soumare is off then fine, but I still don't think he's all that. He'll be on decent wages as well, we are so baffling.
-
I despair with this club
-
If Cannon does play then we have to focus on creating chances for him. I know that is obvious but even last season he was a player that at times wasn't being sought out when we were attacking. That maybe a weakness of his and one of the reasons I think he's better in a front two but here we are. He's proven when chances do fall his way that his shooting technique is sound, he hits the target and I think there's goals in him. It would be a huge boost of confidence for him if Cooper deploys him and gives him at least the next 2-3 games before we invariably get in another striker and Vardy returns.

Who do you want for next season in the PL

Whilst I agree with this to a degree, I think we should have taken this opportunity to continue to recruit as if we were a very ambitious Championship side. If and when we go back down I'd not be surprised to see us placed with an immediate transfer embargo. We've very little asset value currently and wages remain too high. -
Might actually watch the game if that happens.
-
Hmmmmmm we've not got a very good track record of getting multiple deals done at the end of the window. I really hope it doesn't come down to that. We'll also be 3 games in to the season, which add on any points deduction could already be game over.
-
Exactly. The blokes comments in the last few weeks and his decisions have been an utter abomination. Don't think I've ever been against a manager as much as this from the off, well done Steve.

Any Rudkin Out regalia yet? -
I guarantee we'll be after some two bit shit house defender in the next 2 weeks and probably not even left footed again either. I actually hate our football club.
-
In the grand scheme of things it's way down the list unfortunately. However, yes I do. I think he'll be one of a few players that come out with any credit this season. But to repeat, we're talking about one position that we have 3 players in in Winks, Ndidi and Hamza. That's actually fairly reasonable for a team as horrid as we are. We are far less equipped in creative midfield and up front areas.
-
That's no different is it. You're quoting players for 3 positions behind the striker, some of which are very much academy/fringe players. We have 3 players already in the DM role in Winks, Ndidi and Hamza so whilst I agree in an ideal world we'd want to improve that if we could, it's way down the list of priorities.

DM is not a priority

Look, it was an accident that I initially walked off with a litre of mayonnaise.
