KDH under Brendan was used in a slightly different role to say under Enzo but he was still very much involved in the attacking third, often pressing in a front two as well.

I've got asbestos hands, none of this even computes to the nerve endings anymore. Whatever, on to the next one.

Nelson in to play that LW role that under Cooper would operate more centrally would be a great piece of business. It's going to cost us though. Big loan fee and Arsenal top up his wages or we pay them £20m and they use some to buy him off.

I missed it. Would be brave to throw him in after over a month out but needs must. -

Hope so, otherwise it's Mavididi or Reid as a false 9. Grim -
Winks will need to be braver on the ball if so. There was the ingredients of a player confident in the final third in his early 20's but he's eased off that mindset and you can tell. Would love it if he had one of those random seasons where he becomes a bagsman

The other weakness we have if we go with a midfield of Skipp and Winks is the distinct lack of height in midfield. You ideally need to bolster your ability to attack and defend with a good amount of tall players. For that reason I can see Ndidi remaining 1st choice and then we're faced with the very real possibility of a midfield 3 of Ndidi, Winks and Skipp.

I'd genuinely be happy if we register more than 1 shot on target tonight that's not a pathetic scuffer. If we create some proper chances with what will likely be an extremely workmanlike squad then I'd take the positives out of that. We've got to find a way in doing so. Cooper's pre-season has been absolutely vulgar in that regard. It would be classic Leicester to get a result tonight or go down in a brave high scoring defeat. Either way I'm no longer dreading it as the day has approached. -
This is what I'm struggling to deal with. I can accept we have to cut pur cloth accordingly but £25m on Skipp is up there with paying £13m for a back up goalkeeper.

We tend to hammer Spurs at home in the Prem when we're the absolute pits so tonight will be a good measure of what we're in for. Paste them and we're going down, get slapped ourselves and we're staying up. -
Pure bagsman an'all. I think we'd get him for £15m too

Who do you want for next season in the PL

Yeah I'd lost track of him. He's featured a bit for Porto and Porto B in the last 3 seasons. He's getting in for them this season. -

One of Cooper's ex England U17 players Danny Loader (now called Danny Namaso) from Porto. Could see us making a move. We've been linked with him before too. -

I think Barry is destined for the top, this is his breakout season. -

Very good shout. I see @StriderHiryu also mentioned him earlier. -
He barely played last season, that's a concern. Willem Geubbels has rebuilt his career at St Gallen after his huge move to Monaco didn't pay off. Contract up next summer and could be got for a reasonable fee.

THIERNO BARRY

It'll be more than £5m based on what's happened to him in the last 12 months. This would have been an opportunity for Liverpool to make amends. Multiple reports said we wanted Carvalho but viewed it as potentially too expensive, so that's what I'm basing it on.
-
It was reported by multiple sources we were interested but it was too expensive to do for us....
-
Couldn't afford £23m to buy Carvalho despite Liverpool oweing us £5-10m for Nyoni but can pay £20m + add ons for Skipp. Make it make sense Leicester.

Thierno Barry now has 8 goals in his opening 4 games of the season. -
Proven in what sense? He's got about 30 goals in 250 PL games. It's grotesque stats.

We're not targeting the right markets. We're still a huge move for players from Scandinavia, South America, Japan etc. You'd not pay £25m for the privilege either.
