  1. He's also not coming here to be less of a contributor than he was at Palace, where he played most games. So where's him and Reid, another who wasn't leaving Fulham not to play, going to play? Mavididi and Fatawu will be on the bench far more than some of you presume.
  2. That's been the case for a long while and yet we've never been able to. Although it's no surprise as we struggle to sell players as rule. We are without doubt on of the worst clubs in the Premier League in the last 5+ years at moving players on. I did the research a while back, it's astonishing.
  3. And we're notoriously one of the lowest goalscorers in the league even with players like Zaha up there too. That is not a positive.
  4. Another thing that irks me about this deal is we'd never be able to push a club to do the same to us for a player at a similar stage to Ayew in their career. We had title winning heroes like Okazaki, King and Ulloa begging to leave and thr best we got for them was a nominal fee or a loan. We aren't a serious football club
  5. Also where's this notion we need to just stay up. If we stay up this season then everything's fine. Why is it? What happens next summer? Why are we in any better situation to sort the long term future of this squad when we've done what we've done this summer. Added nearly £10m a season on player amortisation on Okoli, Skipp and Ayew. It's an absolute disgrace.
  6. The saddest thing here is Alan Nixon has had 2 scoops on Leicester over the years that fans refused to believe and yet they came true. Rachid Ghezzal and Jordan Ayew. We overpaid massively on both. Ghezzal had been touted around for a loan with an option earlier that summer and instead we offered more to get him fixed up 😂😂😂 I'll celebrate Top and Rudkin's departure whenever that may be like a major honour at this rate.
  7. Exactly, over 5 years instead of 3 this is the equivalent of a £15m transfer. Which gets you so many exciting prospects this summer. I do think this is the end for me. I can't do this to myself any longer. I know there's potentially worse things happening in the world than the way we are ran but to me this is genuinely mental torture and I need to look after myself before I get angina.
  8. Not even Graham Brock or @Babylon can defend the club this summer. It is revolting.
  9. They'll naturally go back to probably 60-90 mins as the games come thick and fast but so much to ponder and get apoplectic and excited about.
  10. Naaaah he's class. Hull had an abysmal defence with Maguire and Andy Robertson in it don't forget.
  11. It's business that you can understand though. I'd take a £9m punt on Szmodics over £6m + add ons and big wages for Jordan Ayew. I've a feeling Szmodics will do well in the Prem and will be that annoying player that our fans can't help but reference that we should have got.
  12. Not so sure that's correct. It's nothing to do with cash and installments for PSR. It's structured fee and then add ons. So if we'd agreed to sell Soumare for £17m but it was £5m up front and then installments of £3m a year for 4 years it would still go down as a £17m sale in the year in which the sale took place. If we agreed to sell him for £5m + £12m in potential add ons then your point applies.
  13. This is what's not being clocked on to. We aren't a newly promoted PL side lacking PL experience. It's a myth.
  14. You really think he's on less than £30k a week at Crystal Palace? Not a chance. They pay very well and he's been there a good while so he'll have received a few pay rises.
  15. Mavididi's defensive work is very underrated
  16. Not a chance he's coming here for 30 bag a week 😂😂😂
  17. He won't be coming here to be a squad player, that's what fans sticking up for this deal need to understand.
  18. Cooper will have pulled all scouting abroad so very unlikely mate. Pie in the sky.
  19. Soule was very close to agreeing before Roma stepped in. He'd be on far less wages than Ayew as well. Our PSR issues don't go away with an obsession of PL experience where wages are vast.
  20. If the club submit a £15m bid for Sverre Nypan tonight for him to come to us as soon as he turns 18 then I might just turn a blind eye to this evening.
  21. That might well be the case until it comes to the wages offered.
  22. Like being sent down for a 10 stretch on the same day you find out your ex company are offering voluntary redundancy on 2 years full pay tax free.
  23. You can't put out that news on Nanasi at the same time as Ayew. This is actually making me unwell. €11m for Nanasi and €14m for Gronbaek to clubs who'll pay less in wages than we will. I'm in bits. We paid more for Skipp than the pair combined. 😭😭😭😭
  24. He's not coming here to be 4th choice. That's my point. One of him or Reid are a complete waste of time and money, or Mavididi and Fatawu are going to see their game time curtailed.
