Wouldn't surprise me if we've fell out with Johnny Morris after the Enzo debacle and we no longer put all our eggs in the Wasserman basket. Might explain why we didn't go for Corberan and we're swerving O'Hare on an easy pick up. CAA Stellar full steam ahead then ππππ

Who do you want for next season in the PL

I'll spend Β£100 on battered sausages in the chip shop opposite Leicester College if we sign Gronbaek -
We aren't going to completely change our recruitment policy for Steve Cooper. I can see why we might want to add some experience but a good chunk of the new recruits will be with the goal of adding squad value. We have very few sellable assets and that has to change.

We're on the verge of signing a 22 year old Italian defender.

Goal and an assist this weekend for Baidoo. 2 assists for Gronbaek and 1 for Nanasi.

Foxes Trust Update β Shirt Sponsorship
Ric Flair replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
I get the alternative view point, and you're right really about what part Leicester play in the wider context of this. It's awash with juggernaut corporations and industries and countries identities that it needs to be higher up that force it, but I suppose it's wishful thinking that our club might join a small group of clubs that are already taking a stand. -
Foxes Trust Update β Shirt Sponsorship
Ric Flair replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
It's about context, this topic is close to me after what I've been through but I try and keep a neutral stance as much as possible. But the whole industry is running riot and very little is being done about it. The stats involving children and gambling are scary and as I've said, a lot of it stems from the culture of gaming and the companies are using platforms and algorithms used to entice gambling. It's a conveyor belt and it's deliberate. I'm a father and that's horrifying, I'm also a recovering compulsive gambler and it's tragic that the industry is given so much freedom to do what they want with something that devastates not just the problem gambler but everyone and everything around them. Gambling shouldn't be banned, that's oppressive and unnecessary but there needs to be more control about how it is facilitated. When you've got publications in Parliament that state 5% of problem gamblers account for 60% of the industry revenue then you know these companies aren't going to put a stop to that off their own backs. https://publications.parliament.uk/pa/ld5801/ldselect/ldgamb/79/7903.htm Our said governments need to get tougher, funnily enough labours stance on gambling and safeguarding in the past has been pretty poor if I recall, so I don't hold much hope. I could tell you some of the sick stunts these companies pull when they lock on to a said problem gambler, it's a disgrace. In any other walk of life it would be tantamount to a serious crime and yet whilst the industry creates millions in tax I'm sure they'll conveniently kick the issue down the road and pay lip service to the public.- 151 replies

Foxes Trust Update β Shirt Sponsorship
Ric Flair replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
You say that but a lot of games that are created to entice children in to playing, use the platform and principles of gambling. What's also scary is some of these companies are gambling companies, they're using similar algorithms. The gambling epidemic does not just start when people are adults. So with all due respect you're incorrect. -

Whilst he doesn't score loads, he's got really good composure in front of goal. This is a solid piece of business. -
Who do you want for next season in the PL
Ric Flair replied to Fightforever's topic in Transfer Talk
He would be a risk after doing his knee part way through last season but I'd been following Rafiu Durosinmi from Viktoria Plzen. Purely because I'd spotted his goals and assists numbers and with his skill set he got my attention. Would not cost much, but we could perhaps even tempt them with a sizeable loan fee and option to buy as insurance in case injuries hamper him further. -

Alvyn Sanches from Laussane-Sport. Cheaper alternative to O'Reilly as a KDH replacement. -
Another one under CAA Stellar

Signings like this will hopefully compliment any experienced players we look to bring in. Great stuff -
Those who played internationals probably won't be back straight the way I don't think.

Pretty sure we were after him last summer too

England v Switzerland - Saturday 6 July

3-4-2-1 or a variation of 3 at the back makes the best use of this squad. I do think we could stumble across the right ingredients to get through tonight and put ourselves in with a boxers chance of going all the way. We have to either use the ball better though or go more direct and win the ball high up. We've been so passive and laboured so far. -
As a recovering compulsive gambler this is extremely disappointing. I'm not against the act if gambling, the overwhelming majority of the world can do so without it devastating those and their families lives but it's the carte blanche a lot of these companies have in doing what they want. I can see the temptation for Leicester to chase the revenue, but our links to such firms is uncomfortable (see the link below for past examples) and I wonder where in the list of priorities does it rank for the club. https://www.playthegame.org/news/meet-the-hydras-tracing-the-illegal-gambling-operators-that-sponsor-football/ I'm as disconnected as ever to our football club, I wonder what it would take for me to walk away. I can't ever envisage it but this sort of stuff hurts me.

If we go and get Nanasi or Gronbaek to cover LW / ACM then I'm absolutely fine with this.
-
It's a free transfer, I've been hammering the club for not doing enough of these over the years whilst we've let many go. He actually had a good season last year. I'd expect Fatawu to keep him out but he'll provide cover for both wings. I'd still like a young winger to come in too but we have Alves and Silko Thomas who might impress Cooper in pre-season.
-
I'm going to but my tongue as this time last year we started our transfer business with PL experience that on the surface looked like we were shelling out with minimal upscale. Reid is alright, he'll do a job but it is a bit of a crash down to earth. Maybe Alan Nixon was right πππ If it's just a 2 year deal on modest wages then fine.

We've also never properly replaced Paul McGuinness who had a similar reputation in the game and was a huge coup for us at the time. -
Kasabian will announce it tomorrow

Any ideas if there was an option to buy in his loan deal last season?
