  1. £10m compensation would be nice if it happened before the end of June.
  2. I think he has a role here but Enzo seemingly doesn't and once again we've paid through the nose for players that our managers don't seem to want.
  3. Martin Glover and Tete's Dads fault. They were pals even when he was at Southampton, I'm the scapegoat to this deal.
  4. Agreed. I hope that Enzo's influence might steer us to look to Italy where young players regularly get overlooked in favour of experience and can be purchased for modest fees. Look at Riccardo Calafiori at Bologna. Left Roma aged 20 to Basel for £2m and then Bologna bought him last summer for marginally more and now he's worth 10+ times that after a stunning season there.
  5. He's fed up with not getting 1st team football and rejected their offer of a new contract. This is a growing trend with academy players at Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City etc. Arsenal have lost a few like this in recent years, Omari Hutchinson being one. Although he bizarrely chose Chelsea where he briefly got a few chances but has very much had to go on loan to make a name for himself.
  6. Arsenal U21 captain is leaving this summer. Really like his skill set and can play RB, CB or CM so he could be a very coachable player for Enzo to mould in to the inverted full back role.
  7. They'll all have been on holiday. It'll be start of June before that stuff steps up a gear.
  8. 100% agree but it feels like we are so far removed from scouting or fishing in such waters. Even hugely wild card signings like Fatawu have come with the agreement of a £14m permanent fee, pretty staggering really. He's worth that now but given his stature at Sporting a year ago, it was way over the top.
  9. Contract up this summer isn't it? He's a classic Leicester signing, a striker that's spells of form are in a front two and then we'd sign him and play him on his own. See Iheanacho, see Daka, see Cannon. All are front two strikers at their previous clubs or shown their best form here on the occasions we have played it.
  10. There's a reason he dropped in to the Championship when he was close to signing for a Bundesliga side...
  11. I'm a bit gutted. Really liked his character and technical ability and at his age and the price, it's not expensive at all. But he didn't make that much of an impact and so we probably roll the dice and take another risk for the same price or a loan with an option to buy. He got us across the line in a few tight games in 2024. All the best Yunus!
  12. Humour me. We could actually field a midfield 4 of Mavididi, Nanasi, Gronbaek and Fatawu couldn't we?
  13. Contract up this year, send him Leuven for a season.
  14. Got £5m left on the book value on Coady and dread to think what wages we're paying him. Doubt he goes to the Championship without us subsidising his wages and what's the point as we'll need 2-3 new CBs already.
  15. Jordan James and Hayden Hackney in a similar mould to him.
  16. And not sign a single one of them
  17. I was one of Brighton's, but more directly Graham Potters critics over the years. The hype around them was ridiculous but the way they operate is admirable. They always have the flexibility to make decisions without the finances dictating it. Whether that's selling a player at a loss or replacing a manager etc. We are a case example of not being able to do such a thing and paid the price for it, excuse the pun.
  18. I don't know much about him, I can't imagine such a signing would be expected to make a huge impact on the 1st team next season but who knows. His stats at Championship level are less impressive than the likes of McAteer whom we have concerns about being PL quality but we are going to need to unearth diamonds in the rough and this is where Enzo's supposed coaching qualities to come to the fore.
  19. Yeah possibly, it would have to be a very advantageous contract offer on our part.
  20. I'd absolutely take a chance on revitalising Sessegnon's career.
  21. I suspect it'll end up being quite popular.
  22. Upon my research in to this lad @Dahnsouff I've stumbled across Fabian Reese again. He's had a superb season at Hertha!
  23. Respect the craft
  24. Scored again
  25. Sassuolo have been relegated, maybe it's time we played the loan with option to buy game with the Italians. Kristian Thorstvedt is probably the pick in midfield, although Volpato is highly rated who they got from Roma last summer. Up front they paid a lot of money for Andrea Pinamonti and he's had a good season. Possibly question marks over his pace but he leads the line well. Always rated Armand Lauriente, he's similar profile to Stephy Mavididi. Sadly Berardi has done his achilles and not back until well in to next season I don't think.
