Probably could have signed him for less than half what we paid for Okoli and used the rest on going towards a creative midfielder. Not my club

Backs up exactly what I surmised doesn't it. We were banking on a big sale to fund the likes of Soule and other positions we needed to strengthen. All so inevitable. -
Or just promote Oli Ewing from the U21s

Almost exclusively a left winger is he not? Maybe Cooper is going to move Mavididi in as a 10, or have them creating havoc together by interchanging.

Hahahaa we did Andy Johnson before, that game was Mandaric's first in charge as an owner. I was garried and in hospitality and he came in to greet everyone. I allegedly got him in a headlock and gave him a friendly knuckle rub. I didn't get Horsfield earlier because I remembered more goals than Jord claimed he'd scored via Wikipedia! He got 2 vs Cov, 1 vs Leeds and possibly more? -

We'd quadruple his wages, so he quite possibly would. -
£17m over 5 years, with 2 to go we can sell for £6.8m. Saving on his wages too, but probably have to pay off agent and loyalty bonus for not asking for a transfer. £10m should cover it.

Thanks mate, I'll follow up with them. Getting sick of this. -
If he goes abroad they get nothing, do they not?

My issue is he's yet another striker who's only decent output came when he played in a front two. Same as Iheanacho, same as Daka, same as Cannon. That doesn't mean he can't play on his own, but we've seen with those three that they need either a striker alongside them or a 10 at the very least right behind them, compared to attacking midfielders. Cooper's system might get players closer to the striker centrally, than previous regimes. This helps occupy the defence for the striker with the best movement and finishing to get openings but I still think we need a physical striker.

Did it? This isn't the first time we've found out Sports Social have had gambling adds on our podcast. We went wild at them the last time. I'll have a look. -
Reminds me of Billing at Bournemouth and Berge at Burnley

This ought to be countered by an excellent scouting and recruitment network rather than relying on agents for targets that sometimes seems to happen with us.

If there's a supernatural reason why we can't sign Nanasi from Malmo then make Hugo Bolin the target instead. He's going to be some player an'all. -
This is a huge 2 weeks ahead of Spurs. I don't really understand what Cooper is trying to do. I get the feeling he's deploying a system and style that the club want him to play, which might be sensible if that's the best use of the squad in a pragmatic sense. However, if that's not the best fit or not the one that the manager knows how to implement the best then you risk being so passive. I'm concerned we aren't going to get the required bodies in, which renders this way of playing extremely futile. We will need to be more direct and more aggressive. Do we even have the players for that? Debatable but if we're going to be pitiful at defending and attacking set pieces as well then it's curtains for us. Plenty to do, I feel like we'll be giving many teams a head start with the lack of surgery to the squad in time for the start of the season and then the likely points deduction still to come as well. This is going to be about as enjoyable as watching morris dancing.

Durosinmi was looking breathtaking until his injury. Thierno Barry has started the season on fire. I really like the look of him. -

Not quite hit the heights I thought he would but he is maturing in to that central role and impacting games consistently. Plenty to still like about him. -
He should deploy Ricardo in central midfield, could play as an 8.
