Development/Youth Squads 2023/2024 Thread - U18/U21

Rob Huth must have the cushiest gig going, although it must be highly frustrating/dull. I get we need to keep more around the 1st team but there's still a few we could look to get loans such as Maswanhise and Richards. -
Possibly but it's the same thing overall when it comes to FFP. Only the UEFA FFP is wages to revenue ratio a thing, perhaps we're worried we'll win the FA Cup and be back in Europe next season 😂
-
The club have not been honest with him, he's so so himself.
-
I still don't understand why this deal relies on us selling a player. We can't be that close to FFP if a £500k up front fee tips us over the edge. We've earnt that from Casadei going back and qualifying for the 5th round of the FA Cup. Something else is at play here.
-
Oh dear oh dear.......
-
No chance. If the club need to make a sale to buy anyone, the sale has to be for a fee that doesn't book us a loss for doing so. We paid £15m for Souttar and there's £12m left on his amortised value. We have to sell for £12m or more.

Rudkin's had a heavy one at Top's wedding I suspect? 😂😂😂
-
We certainly need to up the ante a little to surpass them. After our 9 game winning run that put us on played 14 won 13 lost 1 = 39 points, our next 15 games have = 30 points, so 2ppg. If we carry on that same form for the remaining 17 games then we'll finish on 103 points.
-
I think we'll get a midfielder in on loan and that's it.
-
Possibly, as I've said Daka's been clinical at Salzburg so he's got it in him.
-
This doesn't ring completely true though, why are we changing the terms on the Sensi deal constantly?
-
Mavididi is becoming more and more consistent. I think he will step up. Ricardo, Mavididi, Ndidi, Winks, Hermansen, KDH, Justin, possibly Faes. Cannon I think will improve to that level, as will Fatawu. Jury is out on Daka and Yunus but I think they've got ability.
-
I know Daka has got some stick today for the howler he missed and then another wild slash but he was integral to a lot of the positive play tonight. He does need to sharpen up on his finishing, for a striker who's been known to be clinical he's often off balance when he's about to pull the trigger. His pressing and bloody mindedness tonight was a huge influence though. Him and Cannon are the starters for me.

I thought overall Doyle was excellent tonight, our best defender and a lot of the fluid play we saw was from him. He's suspect at defending crosses though.
-
The goal was Faes and Doyle's fault, poor marking.
-
Doyle has had a great half, I've been critical of him since his return but he's been at the heart of a lot of our fluid moves.
-
That's a very good description.
-
I suspect Justin was at that point in the squad.
-
He was in the training videos yesterday.
-
Given Justin'snout I'd have thought Cover would be the sub over Raikhy but let's hope this isn't a serious injury for Justin.
-
I can't help but feel this will fall through and we'll stick with Praet. He's likely to start again tonight.
