  1. If there's ever an exodus from Saudi and players to be picked up on the cheap, Seki Fofana under Enzo in the Prem next season would be spot on. He's the physical and aggressive box to box midfielder that I'm seeing resemblance with Ndidi this season.
  2. It's a good test if we opt to go strong to see where we are in our aspirations of being a PL class team. But the dilemma is going strong, we'll have played Leeds away before this and then we'll have QPR at home the following weekend that will be very much a key winnable game that we may need no risks on.
  3. Don't think it is, its 500k in this years accounts or 666k in this years accounts depending on opting for a loan with an obligation to buy, over a straight up purchase.
  4. Aaaaaah that could be it, it'll be the sell on clause when they got £100m from Chelsea.
  5. They only paid £4m for Caicedo. Transfermrkt is a very good resource but there's the occasional gremlin.
  6. Quite possibly because our financial obligations to the end of June are EFL requirements, rather than PSR for the PL. Although as @coolhandfox has said, there's very little difference in the accounts in paying a 500k loan fee or paying 666k across 3 years. It must be the longer term view we are protecting ourselves against.
  7. Yeah I think there's probably something in that. To the naked eye his distribution looks below the current Leicester standard, that being Hermansen. However, he's played in some disjointed line ups in the cup and you are right he doesn't look hesitant in his play. I really like him, shot stopping wise he's excellent. That combination is needed because Hermansen for a modern goalkeeper is also superb at shot stopping, to think we might have a back up keeper with similar ability is frightening.
  8. Stolarczyk joined the club aged 16/17. My main criticism of our academy is that I didn't think we placed enough emphasis on recruiting talented 16-19 year olds and have missed out on some of the players Villa hoovered up from West Brom and other Midlands academies. We do seem to select well when we do though. Iversen, Sowah, Stolarczyk, Booth, Richards etc.
  9. I said this after the Millwall game and got vilified. It's true and he's ours!!
  10. The Bournemouth away game? He scored twice. He's a very versatile midfielder.
  11. Hahahahaaa brilliant. I'll put you down as a maybe for coming on.
  12. I don't think Sensi is a KDH replacement.
  13. We would never get £3m, add ons and a sell on clause for one of our unwanted players with less than 6 months on their deal. Those that stick up for Rudkin and the club for the inability to move players on will do well to get out of this one.
  14. There's a player there and he's one that I think Enzo needs to build an outlet for, I.e set the team up when he plays to utilise him but still ensure we've got enough power to win the midfield battle. He's not going to start games with KDH I don't think but then again, Sensi and Akgün isn't going to work. I think he's best suited alongside Ndidi but that won't happen for quite some time.
  15. Ricardo was MOTM 2nd half, it would have been fair to see him stay on and Ricardo come on for one of the 8's who had hideous 1st halves. Anyway, all worked out well.
  16. Good job they removed relegation as we'd become masters at it and we're given a stay of execution twice.
  17. Who was better than him 1st half then? They were all pony, but he'd been the only one winning the ball and getting us out of trouble. Nelson started the 1st half well but then he was struggling. For whatever reason you don't rate Cover, most won't know much about him.
  18. To Coady's credit, I thought 2nd half he got better.
  19. Can play anywhere across defence as well, which if Doyle is going to struggle to get back to the standard then I think Nelson is a viable alternative to a few of them.
  20. He was our best outfield player first half. You must have hated that given your post yesterday. Grow up.
  21. Yeah, should be very proud of himself. The only one who disappointed me today was Wanya Marcal. McAteer is the pits on the ball but I'll forgive him as we've seen he's got plenty of other strengths. Nelson is pretty much Championship standard, he could be 1st choice and it would not be much of a drop off, if any in this system IMO. Stolarczyk is proving himself to be a very strong shot stopper but his distribution is somewhere just north of Iversen and Ward, which is not the standard we can afford really. Hopefully that improves. Raikhy looked pretty decent as well, full of energy and wanted to go forward.
  22. That's why I said at the minute. Plenty of strengths to his game, movement and energy being two of them, as well as what appeared to be a natural ability to find spaces for chances. However his passing, crossing and end product is below standard right now.
  23. Same, McAteer is utter pony at the minute in that role.
  24. His distribution is very suspect though, hopefully this can improve because like Iversen is a class shot stopper. Some excellent saves from him today, him and Cover have been our only bright sparks. Nelson started well but he's succumbed to sloppy passing with the rest of them. That midfield is disgusting today, was really hoping to see Praet show something that we can hang on to should we need him for the rest of the season but he's so half hearted. Akgün is weak as well, I'd rather swap him and Wanya over.
  25. Worrying how unable Alves is of getting fit to play competitive football. Hopefully it's not another setback.
