  1. Ian Skol-loway 2.2% pure driving lager, tastes the absolute bins but there's something comical about turning up to a party with a bag of cans of it and seeing the gasps of horror.
  2. Class they are
  3. I'm hoping Enzo has improved things and that it was training methods or burden of the style of play and amount of games under a previous regime than our training ground but we still have ongoing injury issues. Other clubs quote possibly do, I'm biased that I only care about Leicester and feel we're always good for 4-5 injuries at any one time.
  4. I also don't think they've improved that much either.
  5. True, he's certainly a talented player but when I compare the two I'm certainly not favouring Clarke right now. If he was available for the right price then I've no issue but he's hyped up and I'd be surprised if he goes for less than £20m.
  6. Casadei will play a huge role now
  7. I notice Roger Fernandes at Braga is also out of contract. Not yet hit the heights expected of him after coming on the scene a few years ago but he'd be a calculated punt.
  8. That sort of fee is par for the course for FFP. They paid £20m for him 4-5 years ago and with 6 months left they probably clear the decks without reporting a loss. We'd never get an Italian club to give us that - see Dennis Praet over the next month as a case example but its not unreasonable.
  9. Legend, nice man, charismatic, part of some iconic years of my life for club and country regardless of tangible success. My thoughts are with him and his family.
  10. Micha Hamilton's contract up in the summer....
  11. He's a good player but I do think he's being over hyped this season. Of his 12 goals, 5 are penalties. So he's scored less from open play and assisted less than Mavididi has this season. We will need another left winger next season as either a standout improvement on Mavididi or competition, for the money Clarke will cost I'm not sure he'd be an obvious improvement so I'm not sure he'd be one to really pursue.
  12. I couldn't believe they were so high but they actually sold a lot of academy players for £5-10m over the last 4-5 years including Bereton-Diaz and Matty Cash.
  13. Wasn't it us that should have been ahead at the break? They'd had a few chances but we had a 1 v 1 for McAteer that he missed. It was the 2nd half where they scored and then could have had a few more before we equalised. Then they had another great double chance from Wright (stunning save from Hermansen) and Godden missed the rebound. We then won it and had a very good chance for a 3rd. Anyway fcuk um.
  14. We still have Kolo Toure's son in our U18s team.
  15. Yeah quite possibly. We will get Thomas a loan to the Championship with little trouble but wouldn't be surprised if Brendan came in for him.
  16. Ao Tanaka who we were linked with in the summer would be a shrewd piece of business if the Sensi deal doesn't get done. Fits the profile of an Ndidi replacement much better. Scores goals too, he's quite aggressive and strong as well. Dusseldorf would like him to stay and get them promotion and he's not gone to the Asia Cup but reports are a £2-3m fee would be enough for them to agree to sell.
  17. There's a real possibility we're going to look back on this season and Casadei and be amazed at how much we doubted him. This 2nd half of the season is all set up for him, I think he's going to make a real impact.
  18. Sheffield Utd will likely have to cover his wages if we don't manage to find another club.
  19. I want answers on Dennis Praet. In fact he needs to front up and come and tell the public what on earth he's been doing.
  20. Ooh Tommy Wright (the academy lad) 1-0
  21. Whilst there are multiple tax relief initiatives or legitimate (at the time) ways of paying less tax, individuals are always going to get caught up in this. It's a real grey area, wealthy individuals, like companies will often have financial advice and experts in tax and sometimes it goes horribly wrong for whatever reason. Interestingly, usually against individuals rather than companies which seems to be HMRC's radox these days.
  22. Maresca claims we haven't got any money.
  23. Ndidi is equally as bad, has less instances of injuries but always seems to miss 2-3 months a season. Praet beyond words.
  24. Think it's very much in a decent signing on fee and promotion bonus. Nothing stopping him going back to Italy if it doesn't work out but overall has been compensated quite well. His wages at one of the biggest clubs in Italy is about £60k a week, he's not going anywhere in Italy for his next move on about £35-40k so him taking a risk coming here is probably financially better even on a shorter term deal.
  25. And despite this sparkling form, in the last 10 games they've still drawn at home 3 times to Swansea, Southampton and Stoke. I do think it'll be a tight game, probably our hardest league game for a while - including Ipswich but I don't think I could ever show this confidence if the boot were on the other foot.
