  1. Hmmmmm that might be the pattern of his first few months at Leicester but are you going to ignore the last 6 weeks where he's scored 6 and assisted 1 but more importantly shown much more consistency across all the games as a whole? He's still a work in progress and I do think the fine margins that propel players to the top of the game is what he's working on with Enzo and the staff. He's a laid back character that works in his favour in some ways but in others perhaps he's suffered. I love this sort of player though, cost us £5-6m and could be worth 4-5 times that with the ability he's got and the right coaching.
  2. I see the arguments about clubs running up huge losses and then owners doing a proverbial runner ala Portsmouth. I think owner investment should be allowed, clearing permissable losses etc and freeing up finances to continue to compete. How the latter can be done whilst preventing the former is key.
  3. I read somewhere that Souttar counts as an Asian player (not sure if that's domestic for Saudi but certainly considered differently to overseas players such as Europeans) and that was one attraction in pursuing Souttar.
  4. Everton's transfer activity in recent years hasn't been that much, wonder what's caused this now?
  5. Although any club who have breached it are to be told ASAP so if we haven't then we'll know and can crack on eh? 😂
  6. This current PL clubs only? I wonder if this is what's caused a bit of goal post moving by us.
  7. I merely mean the colour. Never owned it, don't really remember it in the flesh but never been a fan of the gold yellow we opted for mostly over the years.
  8. Both positions that if we strengthen we break the points record and absolutely zero chance we don't get automatic promotion. It appears highly unlikely we'll bring anyone in though.
  9. I thought he'd had some decent games in that position, he was struggling to execute simple passes though. Him and Fatawu (I think) had a great chance to create a 1 v 1 and go 2 up and it breaks down and then straight after we're down to 10 men and the rest is history.
  10. To be fair the colour of that away shirt is decent, one of the best if not the best yellow shirts we had during that 10-15 year period.
  11. Yeah, that's where my frustration comes from. Really slow start, didn't actively look to press like we had done and probably why I'm reacting by saying we didn't look up for it. Final 15 mins of the 1st half was better, we created the best chance of the half for sure. It's a game of fine margins. If we win the game then the first half gets forgotten about and we lost the game because we were down to 10 men but the manner of the way we approached it disappointed me. Perhaps I don't get it, this game is not a fixture I'm calm and rational about. I absolutely detest them.
  12. Let's hope they learn. A win in what we determine as a big game in 2024 will be an important accolade. Ipswich, Leeds, Southampton all to come. I want minimum 2 results out of those.
  13. Your opinion is more unusual to have formed given he's started 3 games and been lethal in 2 of them than those who because he's been lethal in 2 of them think we've possibly found the next Vardy. I do wonder if Cannon to excel as a lone striker needs a 10 behind him, he's had that in Akgun in the 2 games he's ripped teams apart. Yesterday he only came alive in the 2nd half on the counter.
  14. It was the 1st half performance I'm talking about where we've not turned up. Not having we did a job 1st half,we played like we weren't up for it. Was bizarre. Mavididi and Fatawu were absolutely nowhere, KDH and Cannon's sloppiness on the ball, this was not a collective unit that were meeting the importance of a big game. Hopefully we learn from this and get the win vs Ipswich, that will go some way to making amends for yesterday.
  15. I thought McAteer was very useful 2nd half but that's because we set up to counter and had Mavididi stayed on then I suspect he would have been equally as dangerous but with better ability to take players on. We need him to be bang on it the next few games with Fatawu out.
  16. This is exactly the attitude I'd expect from the majority of our fans. Twitter is awash with it, pointing to the 25 point lead and the cup final comments etc. I've never understood why players or fans can't admit when somethings shit, hurts or not good enough. I don't care we're still 25 points ahead of them or 10 clear of 3rd. This is a massive game that we've not turned up in. Admit that. It doesn't make you weak as a player. Harness it as motivation to perform in big games in future, we've a few coming up. Hopefully internally that's exactly the mindset and what Enzo and the players will be thinking. He isn't the 1st player or managet to take this stance, look at the likes of Rodri or everyone's flavour of the month Brussell Martin. Classless.
  17. Plenty have done us favours in recent weeks.
  18. No, it was Casadei for an earlier foul.
  19. Hamza wasn't already on a booking, so that's not applicable.
  20. The way I see it. I expected an onslaught by Coventry but they were actually pretty ordinary until they made the subs and as soon as they equalise that's when Enzo has had a howler. Cannon had caused a few problems 2nd half, why on earth take him off? Coventry were always going to go for the winner and we'd have had more opportunity to counter. Really bad day, I forgot how horrible it is to lose to them. I feel sick.
  21. Did OK today, just wish he was a but more composed in front of goal.
  22. If a Cov player had done that challenge on us we'd think it's a red. It's unnecessary and he's been struggling the last few league games. We're now in a world of shit.
  23. Someone's getting a red today, hopefully one of theirs.
  24. The issue is we don't get rid of players we want to move on with more than a year left on their deals either. The way we operate, we're more open to selling for low fees in the final year of contracts but at that point players can sit out and make huge financial gains and teams aren't prepared to try and counteract that and it ultimately cost them more.
  25. The biggest obstacle on this has been the wages we've paid players, that simply has to change and hopefully is. We had the double whammy of what may be a poor negotiator in getting unwanted players out but also paying them far more than the going rate and prospective buyers wouldn't match that and the transfer fee we wanted. We simply won't book a loss on the accounts for players, we'd rather let their contracts expire and work within the amortised budget we have each year. King Power can have ambitions for us to be self sufficient all they like but they might want to consider internally what's possibly hampering this..... won't happen though. Rudkin is here until Top goes.
