  1. I don't think I've seen confidence from fans of an inferior side like this since we played Tottenham in January 2016.
  2. I think it's right to be concerned about injuries. Those saying Winks and Ricardo were injury prone before Maresca got hold of them should be mindful that the drop in class and our superiority on the ball has led both to having easier loads on their body than they'll get in the Prem, it makes a big difference. Ndidi is another who gets forgotten in relation to repeated injuries, he's always good for 1-2 injuries a season, often for a few months at a time and if he stays post this season and Sensi comes in, that's 4-5 players with major question marks on fitness. James Justin being the other. That said, I'd risk him on a 18 month deal at a low fee with big performance bonuses.
  3. It will either be a nominal fee or a loan to the end of his contract like we did with Perez to Betis last Jan.
  4. Injuries and loan spells seem to have changed his game from what I'd class as a Tielemans type creative midfielder that in his early 20's found himself in more advanced positions and often won the ball up high (huge part of our play) to dropping deeper in the metronome type role, which combines being defensively efficient but more about receiving the ball on the half turn from defence and making things happen. He'd certainly help us get through to the end of the season without Ndidi, whether that's him play the 8 role or Winks/Casadei/Ricardo do it and Sensi then drops in one of their positions.
  5. Yeah it's not good is it. Injuries aside, no Championship club should be signing Sensi it's outrageous. Will have to trust Enzo on this one, but technically he's fits this system like a glove.
  6. Spookily was looking last night at Italian midfielders out of contract in the summer, that we might target this month. I ruled out Sensi as an Ndidi replacement due to him being about 5ft 6 but less than 24 hours later, here we are...
  7. Hahahaa Brownhill's contract is up in the summer, you could well imagine it.
  8. Belic's an interesting one, he may have worked with Maresca at West Ham.
  9. Don't know why I find it funny as it doesn't even particularly rhyme but my 7 year old son for a few years now has always called Coventry, Cov Muck. Spot on
  10. He will be whilst Souttar is away. That said, he made about 4 appearances all season so it's not much more than Nelson has got anyway.
  11. Prset will do exactly the same when he leaves. Spineless
  12. Oliver Sorensen is another box to box midfielder who seems to be strong both defensively and attacking the final third. He also plays LCM rather than RCM though.
  13. @kingfox @Tommy Fresh I've found our Ndidi replacement to get us through to promotion.
  14. Maresca to erase the demons caused by Brendan at Forest (twice). Although he often managed to do over Villa away.
  15. All those around us in the league with very winnable games so hopefully we won't have games in hand on them if we go through.
  16. Do you mean last night? He was on the bench but didn't come on.
  17. Hopefully help them take points off Southampton, Ipswich and Leeds.
  18. That can't be a stat for set pieces, must be something far more specific.
  19. Good for a place on the bench and minutes where possible though. I still think his best chance is as back up / replacement to Mavididi.
  20. Coventry have been a big rival of ours for decades but its very much dependent on the area you're from but it always seeps through once the game arrives.
  21. I meant that's how much Zorgane would go for. If we can't get £10m for Soumare we need a whack, if he was at Arsenal and scrabbling about like he has with us, he'd still go for £15-20m.
  22. Just need to raise £5-6m flogging Soumare, Praet and Iheanacho then.
  23. Adem Zorgane would be the closest Ndidi replacement I can reasonably think of, but I presume he's away at AFCON with Algeria for the next month or so. Long term we need two need CM's, a box to box that Ndidi's new role is and then a creative attacking midfielder but right now just 1 kore option would he handy. We're a Casadei injury away from a huge headache.
  24. Hahahahaa no chance
  25. Hermansen Ricardo Faes Vestergaard Justin Casadei Winks KDH Fatawu Cannon Mavididi
