  1. FFS and as suspected, only went for around £6m.
  2. Just obliterated my 5km and 10km PBs. 21.29 and 45.31 respectively. BOSH
  3. Weirdly not touched the even more value for money Swedish and Norwegian leagues yet though.
  4. And Pavel Sulc from Plznen too. Get um both for £10-12m IMO
  5. Said a few weeks back i think £18m + add ons gets it done, especially if we've made decent PSR headroom on Ndidi and potentially Justin going too.
  6. To be fair @honeybradger raises some potential valid points. I think he'd still be a value punt at £5m but I also think theres possibly even better value un Scandinavia which Cifuentes knows like the back of his hand.
  7. I watched this last week and thought his touch was half decent and he looked quick. I'll re-watch again unless i'm very much mistaken. Reminded me of early years Ivan Toney a hell of a lot.
  8. He'd be in the match day squads like Ruud had him in and use him when the opportunity presents itself.
  9. I'd play him up front as well (with Souttar)
  10. Whilst it will be good for the club to get this done, it's his release clause. Perhaps we've done well to hold our nerve and not accept a lower figure but this can be the beauty (Brendan ©️) of release clauses as it tempts buyers at a price they might otherwise not be as tempted if it wasn't there/known. Still will be good for the club.
  11. To be fair, Kelman outscored Stansfield too who would be first choice here comfortably so sometimes it is a little more nuanced than that. Kone has been a professional football as well for less than two years.
  12. Louis Page hasn't yet signed his either but is being considered a 1st team player. We need to be very careful with our treatment of Evans, massive talent.
  13. Yes I am pleasantly surprised if it goes through, my fear was he'd wait it out to remain in England or one of the top 5 European leagues and we'd see it not happen. Hopefully a few more deals like this will follow, there's stuff on the table I'd imagine.
  14. If he stays, we really need him to work on attacking the box more. Especially if Ayew is the striker then we need advancing runners to get in behind. KDH became very good at it and stopped shooting from distance, if El Khannouss does the same to add to his very creative abilities then we will have a beast at this level.
  15. We need to play this very carefully. If he ends up staying and we don't get promoted then a bid of even £15m is unlikely ever again as thats still a big amount for a keeper. The question is, does him staying and missing out of a potential £12.5m - £15m PSR headroom help or hinder us? If there's genuine interest elsewhere still in the offing we are right to be asking for £20m + currently but given the able deputy we have who only has a couple of years left on his deal, we need to be clever.
  16. We rely on significant sales before willing to purchase which given our track record means we'll be left in limbo and Cifuentes will get his first taste of being pissed off here.
  17. Gonzalo Garcia on loan with obligation to buy on promotion from Real Madrid Castilla
  18. His wages are likely to be £3-4m i reckon? Probably our highest earner. Getting him gone would save us £2m or more. But I think he stays.
  19. I think thats what Turkey USED TO BE but it's had a renaissance in the last year or two. Much better calibre of player is going there not just at the end of their careers.
  20. Ricardo, Daka and Soumare probably the three highest paid remaining too. I'd be trying to get them out even just as a loan covering their wages.
  21. I'm not sure. I don't think his style is any different to other teams who implement a high pressing and their forward is an all round modern striker who holds it up, can lay off and then attack the box to finish.
  22. Need to look in to Cifuentes previous clubs but QPR for example - the one area he seems to be suspect is his forwards scoring goals.
  23. Sorry, they way I worded it was confusing. The profit we made on Cannon (£2.5m) is only half what we'd likely need to pay for Kone, which spread over 5 years would be £1m per year.
  24. Will be interesting to know just how much we need to raise to a) ensure we compky with PSR and b) enable Cifuentes to shape the squad to be balanced enough. Hermansen at £25m is over £20m in profit, we'd need to sell Bilal for £40m to raise the same. My horrible feeling is someone offers us north of £30m for Fatawu or even £15m for Ben Nelson.
