  1. The most impressive thing was the pressing as a team. We have not had a manager committed to implementing that except on occasion since Ranieri. It makes for exciting football.
  2. Risk reward isn't it. You get it right and turn the opposition and space massively opens up. One of the best near misses like this was away at Watford two years ago when we opened up for one of the best goals of the season with Ricardo finishing it. Just needs everyone to make sure they remained switched on.
  3. That's the thing, wouldn't mind if he'd not looked very dangerous this pre-season but he has. Still think he'll get chances, unless they are considering loaning him out again. If so, we'd be bereft of creativity from attacking midfield and wide left.
  4. Yeah, if this happens i'll be buzzing. I would be tempted to go El Khannouss (if he stays) and Ndidi with Mavididi, Monga and Fatawu as a liquid three behind Ayew or Daka. In some games we won't need two deep sitting midfielders.
  5. Still want 6-7 minimum out. Faes/Vestergaard Kristiansen Justin/Coulibaly Soumare Winks Reid Then Ndidi, El Khannouss and Hermansen probably going to. Drain the swamp and let's be brave with the young stars we have coming through.
  6. Really like what I've seen here, Vestergaard and Soumare aside but if this gets fine tuned then we can hopefully enjoy watching us again most of the time. Monga in with Mavididi and Fatawu is almost too much to even consider.
  7. He's been crap so might be staying anyway 😂😂😂
  8. Fatawu is simply breathtaking. I'm now fearful someone punts that his ACL won't go again. He's a superstar. One more season out of him please.
  9. All three managers were new to their clubs, very similar circumstances except Marti starting a week or two later. Yes if El Khannouss is sold and Vestergaard and Ayew dropped for those quoted above I'd obviously be happy. I just hoped to see a manager back up what he says and a statement of intent on building a team around our academy. If he does that next week, great.
  10. Of course its not scientific, neither of us know. But based on other players not fully fit, they are all starting today. Nelson has not started a pre-season game under Cifuentes yet, disappointing. I don't ever want to see Vestergaard or Faes ever again.
  11. For context last pre-season our last friendly we got stuffed 3-0 at Lens and 8 of those started the 1st game. The season before, our last friendly vs Liverpool and 8 of the 11 played the 1st game vs Coventry.
  12. All been injured as recently as Nelson.
  13. If Nelson's not fit, neither is Mavididi, Fatawu or Hermansen but all of them are starting. I don't think he's nailed down his defence yet but I think it's two of Vestergaard, Okoli and Faes.
  14. Last week was two games on the same day to get as many of them as possible 60+ minutes. You want your starting XI to get as many minutes as possible in the last friendly of the season ahead of thr real thing. We won't sell more than 2 players in a week so this team will be 8-9/11 starting next week, I'd be amazed if it wasn't.
  15. Why wouldn't it? People are being naive if they think next weeks team is much different to this.
  16. Predictable and i'm afraid disappointing. The biggest being no Nelson from the start.
  17. Yeah I'd be amazed if we get that, sill actually praise us for once.
  18. Stansfield, Kyogo, Akpom is a similar level of striker we had two years ago.
  19. They made about £35m on Kudus's book value, so even spending £35m on Todibo and £18m on Diouf, over 5 years thats around £11m a season for PSR. Plenty left for Hermansen.
  20. Yeah i don't expect Page and Aluko to start but the statement of intent to try and move on the players in their position could be powerful. There's not really any full back we own who is integral they stay. Even Ricardo who will be on massive wages and will go for free next summer. Likewise central midfield. Not a single one of them who i'm fussed about keeping.
  21. He'll be OK at this level in a back three. But he is never worth the wages we've were paying him so it's great we've got him moved on. 7 or 8 more to go.
  22. I hope Marti's statement of intent is a team of players who he wants to work with and any that want to leave are not starting the game. Would be brilliant if Aluko, Nelson, Page/Alves and Monga all start.
  23. Nelson and Okoli are promising don't you think?
  24. 2020/21 up until his injury he was excellent. Some individual performances were imperious. I actually thought he was decent the year under Enzo. Previously was a much better attacking full back than defender but in Enzo's system he wasn't getting forward as much but was solid. It's best for all parties he moves on this summer though and we don't lose him for free.
  25. That white collar is absolutely disgusting, quite possibly the worst ever LCFC design.
