  1. Two weeks? Together with Kwasi they managed to achieve that in a matter of a couple of hours on the 26th September 2022.
  2. I mean, I am impartial, but I do admit to rooting for them that day. I was hammered by the time I got to Nottingham.
  3. Saw the Mars Volta at Rock City on the 'De-Loused in the Comatorium' tour on November 22nd 2003. The reason I know the precise date is that I had been drinking since early morning and all day watching England triumph over Australia in the Rugby World Cup final. I promised the other half I'd be back that evening to go to Nottingham and I fulfilled my pledge. I was completely steaming in the mosh pit though.
  4. Bought it on the day of release. 38 years later it still mesmerises, enchants and spirits me away somewhere new.
  5. Off the scale talent...
  6. I'm still in disbelief. Unable to process what I've just seen from both sides. South Africa...wtf??? This is a team that opts for a scrum in their own ****ing 22 in the Stade-de-France, against France the hosts un a world cup knockout qf...ostensibly to physically wear them down! It's outrageous. Massive slabs of lab cultivated meat that are despatched remorselessly at will into the grinder. Etzebeth has to be one of the best ball carriers I've ever seen - a complete monster. Possibly the best bok in the enforcer/left lock position of all time, and his predecessors are Bakkies Botha and Victor Matfield! Also, how often do see a charge down? The timing and athleticism of Cheslin Kolbie. I knew that would be massive. England have no answers to this.
  7. Aghast! That was a force of nature there from Etzebeth for the try.
  8. First half was all about the attack, second half the defence.
  9. Confident in their forwards/maul to overpower France. Defended it brilliantly.
  10. Jeez - Robshaw decision that. Take the points for the kick ffs.
  11. South Africa defending brilliantly against the two pronged attack of Dupont and Jailbert.
  12. Boks coaches seem to want their forwards to carry more, rather than remain defensive. Taking off your captain and fly-half - both were playing well - feels like a match-defining decision
  13. Agree. And Kriel's diagonal to Kolbe for the try was exquisite.
  14. Seriously, imagine watching this in the hotel.
  15. The quickness speed of ball down the blindside from France is insane. Both sides ruthlessly attacking with venom.
  16. That's possibly the try of the tournament. Jeez.
  17. In a game of fine margins such as Ireland All Blacks and what is unfolding here, that charge down could be crucial. Don't see that very often - beautiful athleticism and timing.
  18. Half Irish half Welsh born and raised in London. I guess that makes me a complete Celt (at least I think that's what they said). At least it gives me a 50/50 stake in the six nations were it not for the fact I'm a neutral. My biological Dad is from Ballsbridge in Dublin - their house pretty much backed on to Landsdowne Road. This is scintillating stuff!
  19. This is nuts. This is like watching the other Qfs in fast forward.
  20. Agree. My lot? What brings you to that conclusion?
  21. Why is it - be it football or rugby, every nation's teams other than England are capable of singing their national anthems in time and in key?
