Last time we met in the corresponding fixture and the league they had the likes of Butland (who scored an own goal), Shaqiri, Allen, Zouma, Choupu-Moting (remember him?), Adam, N'Diaye, and Diouf and Paul Lambert in charge! Then, more recently, there was that demolition in the cup.

@Izzy How are you feeling mate?
-
I can name at least three members of this forum that will. Agree entirely. As should the human rights abuses in Russia itself; the 20,000 arrests following anti-war protests or the recent imprisonment of Vladimir Kara-Murza who having survived two poisoning attempts for speaking out against the war, was placed in an isolation cell before being sent to a penal colony in Siberia. I'm now waiting for some clown to show up again, brand us all as sheep and post an X or Tik Tok meme as 'evidence' saying that the missile was fired from behind Ukraine lines.

Just listened to some of Water's 'Dark Side of the Moon Redux'. It's so breathtakingly bad, so utterly awful it almost defies description. He was intent upon reducing Floyd to a melancholy dirge and now he's succeeded by interring and desecrating the remains. Imagine bringing Michelangelo back to life, asking him to revisit the Sistine Chapel and he papers over the ceiling with woodchip and obscures the 'Creation of Adam' with artex. Dreadful.

Wrong - and the standard default apologist's answer. As a player, Ben Chilwell received continual abuse and constant derogatory criticism both on this forum and consistent unwarranted taunts and barracking from supposed home fans in the stands. KDH appears to be heading towards a similar fate. Why? Because elements of our fanbase are very, very thick and love a scapegoat.
-
Absolutely. It's the same goons and clueless fools that were fixated and intent upon badmouthing Ben Chilwell. It's embarrassing.
-
Worse still, it's set to return to its original level in March 2025. Since the Tories are unlikely to be in office by then, this is an issue that they are happy for Labour to inherit. It will be interesting to see what policy they adopt.

Katalin Kariko's life story is remarkable.

Dare I ask, what university is this?
-
@Zear0 SMRs - Obviously the first generation will be more expensive, but once the design process and methodology is fixed, rapid modular roll out will enable fleets of these, at reduced costs, enhancing energy security and the drive towards net zero with less waste than a large scale reactor. Apparently. That's the big sell - what's the catch if any?

He pledged to upgrade the Kippax and throw himself off it if they got relegated, which they did after appointing best mate Alan Ball to manage the team.
-
He certainly was - and I remember him for that as opposed to his ill fated Chairmanship at Man City. I always find it tragic when a club legend sullies the memory of their heydey by returning in an unsuccessful capacity. The first thing that enters my head when anyone says Franny Lee, is: 'interesting...very interesting...Ohhh! Look at his face...just look at his face". The second is his bog roll business that Peter Kay once worked for! RIP.

Funny you should say that...
-
He's not attempting to compete in the Premier League anymore. Fair play to him though.
-
The usual suspects aren't even commenting today. They only come out during poor performances. It's very, very weird.
-
Superb through ball initially from Wilf to find Yunus - and what a composed finish from KDH.
-
It has been happening all season though. The quality is mostly lacking at this level to make it count. It is something that we need to address if we are pushing for promotion. Great tackle by Justin on Dolan then.
-
Oh you absolute pillock. Go ahead then - make sure it isn't a "rare LCFC cap".
-
Thing is, it's always the same armchair experts that never seem to learn. They don't comment when we score, only when we screw up or concede. It's very, very strange.
-
All fair points. They did break the domestic transfer record with the signing of Trevor Francis in 1979 and subsequently won the two consecutive European Cups but won the league in the 77-78 season. Like I said, it is all relative, and the transfer market today is in no way comparable but for a club that were putting on cheese and wine events to raise money when Cloughie, what he built and what they went on to achieve was astonishing.
-
Possibly not - that's why I use the word. But it's all relative and their resources were woefully meagre. The European Cups were an unparalleled achievement.
-
Controversial, and sacrilegious I know, but I'd say that Forest's two European Cups and possibly league title surpasses it.
