Disagree. It's a throwaway song by John Lennon, an afterthought on a cassette labelled 'For Paul' and nothing to do with The Beatles and certainly never intended to bear their name. More McCartney revisionism and completely adulterates the back catalogue. Also, it was likely never intended to be so lavish. I find the latter highly ironic given McCartney's protestations over Phil Spector's treatment of 'The Long and Winding Road'. The video is terrible, and largely culled from the ludicrous 'Hello Goodbye' promotional film, a song that Lennon loathed. John and George would have equally hated the notion of this. On August 22, 1969, the four Beatles were gathered for the last time in their lives, for a photo shoot at John's recently purchased Tittenhurst Park grounds and mansion in Ascot. This was two days after their final recording session together editing and mixing 'I Want You, (She's So Heavy)'. On January 3, 1970, the Beatles began their last song started from scratch that ended up on a Beatles album. That's "I Me Mine". They had rehearsed the song a year earlier, but had never recorded it on multi-track tape until this date. However, John was not there, so only Paul, George, and Ringo participated. On April 1, 1970, Ringo Starr recorded an overdub for "The Long & Winding Road", so this was the last session, and last song, where any new work was done by any Beatle on any song that ended up on an original Beatles album. So far as I'm concerned, it ended there and then.

It really wasn't, but I do think Maresca will be 'taking notes'.

Eh? I think you're confusing low block with defending well. Their enterprising spirit and high press deservedly won them the game. They were also very tight at the back. You want low block, think Huddersfield under Warnock last August, or Stoke City I think after last night visiting teams will be more inclined to take the game to us.

We have a decent record against them - although they actually put three past us in this fixture two seasons ago. Is Bamford playing? I still replay that point blank miss from last April - even though he was clearly offside.

Utterly ridiculous and typical Macca. Not what John and George would have wanted.

This is about as 'un-Mac' as it gets.

Wishing a happy birthday to Steve Walsh! 🎂

Absolute club legend and could certainly turn a game. David Geddis may well have a different take on him though. -
I don't recall McAteer playing on the left. That could be a possibility then.
-
Not sure that the manager will see it that way.
-
The issue here is that, as I pointed out in the QPR post-match thread, the return of McAteer means that if Fatawu is to retain his place it means that he starts on the left, which we've seen before and clearly isn't his preference. He's more combative and direct than Mavididi, which is one of the main reasons that I think people prefer him, but any edge that he has over Stephy is likely negated by playing him out of position. Also, I don't think that Wilf is fully fit for this one so expect Casadei instead.

Have you thought of delivering it naked?

The pre-matchday experience or Tyler Adams?

That'll be why you largely post bollocks then and talk out of your arse.

...A little under six years later...

Ok. Never buy a celebrity LA bathtub.

Actually, Cane was sent off @29 minutes in addition to the fact that for almost 20 minutes SA were also down to 14 men. So that's half, not most of the game.
-
You're right. Ex-motorcycle racer Mick Doohan has done it for decades.

If they did, you can pretty much guarantee it would be one that doesn't have the potential and long-term allure that we do and possibly a club in the lower quartile. Saying that, one of the problems for Maddison last season was that the players around him weren't performing well or as committed as our current side which didn't allow him to perform as highly as he currently is at Spurs. When we go up, we also go up a level by an order of magnitude. I have little doubt that Winks can make this transition, but our squad has to raise the bar with him and I'm not sure that they are all capable of that.

Was it? I was too preoccupied watching Rene Naylor on the touchline.

Superb tournament from the knockout stages. That France v South Africa QF was possibly the best game of international rugby I have ever seen. France were robbed though.

Shame Jordie Barrett leathered the penalty - it had the range.
-
Because the offence would not have enabled the scoring phase.
-
Outstanding!
-
They absolutely have to make the next ten minutes count.

That reminded me of a JPR tackle.
