  1. I think unfortunately he has become a victim of his surroundings and as much as we can shout until we are blue in the face about Rudkin, Top and the squad that took us down, some of the buck has to sit with us as fans. It amazes me how quick fans jump on a player or selection of players when the going gets tough and they are not performing - it's going great when the kid is knocking in a hat-trick against Southampton, or setting up Vardy in his first game in the Prem, or scoring from inside his half, but we are quick to forget all the good. I think people forget Fatawu only turned 22 in March, has recovered from an ACL injury which could have easily claimed his career, he has pushed himself since he was a kid to get to where he is and people jumping on his back every 5 seconds, how is that going to help him? One of the biggest problems is we have spent the last 12 years depending on one man getting us out of the sh*t, now he's gone, i think some fans earmarked Fatawu to be the next hero and it hasn't gone to plan. He will leave Leicester and I am sure have an impact wherever he goes, as long as he is coached properly, something he only had when working under Maresca.
  2. At 29 and with lower division experience, could be a good mix with our younger squad - ultimately though, given who we are, clubs will try and drive a hard bargain for any players under contract.
  3. Going to academy players served us well with the likes of De Laet, James and Drinkwater
  4. I totally agree but who is going to want him?
  5. As grim as it sounds I think we are looking at Out Fatawu - £10m-15m Mavididi - £3m-5m (that is being kind I know) Skipp - £7m-10m Okoli - £5m-7m Monga - £6m-10m at most Woyo - £2m VK - £5m-7m - based on contract length - id drive him anywhere he wanted to get rid! Hamza - £3m Souttar - £3m-5m - couple of good games at the World Cup a Champ club will come in, which is a shame as I'd want him here as captain next season Vietes - Anything is profit, probably go back to Spain in terms of high earners only leaves us Jannik, Winks and BDCR and I have a horrid feeling we will get stuck with them.
  6. If reports are true if West Ham are down they are going for Diouf so his first team chances may not be as frequent. Although having said that I can see him in the prem maybe with Coventry
  7. Talk of Rowett going to Blackburn now Michael O'Neill confirmed he was staying with NI. The board have to act quickly whoever it is they go for, as they have a massive job on their hands
  8. Sky Sports had that with Harchester United
  9. His Mrs is all over socials saying any links is fake news(on one hand she would have to be seen to even if there was any truth).......as much as we want to relive the past , it isn't going to happen because; A - We are not in a financial situation to pay him what he would want on a deal which would meet League one regs B - Rudkin is still in a job - The ultimate deciding factor! C - Even at 39 he can still do a job higher up D - Squad is full of entitled, useless wasters
  10. Dom Ballard it is then!
  11. Given the lack of goal threat, would anyone take Paul Mullin?
  12. I think as fans we have to take into consideration the way he is being coached, what is being asked of him in situations, who he is looking to learn from, there are so many variables to consider as well as the possibility of having his head turned. I have no doubt though that Seagrave hasn't been the most positive place to be around this season, which is where a dip in form or confidence could well have come into play
  13. At this stage of things i think we cut our losses, will probably end up at someone like Watford or Burnley when they come down
  14. I am with you I think that is a fair estimation, there is a lot of talk of a 'fire sale' now we are in league one, but we could still quite easily hold firm on Abdul. I have seen Leipzig are sniffing as it is likely one of Yan Diomande or Antonio Nusa will be moving on this summer so they want someone they can bring in with the potential to flip for a profit. Would sooner see that than him with another english club
  15. Seen online a couple of outlets are linking us to one time academy player Tyrese Shade of Burton Albion. Has anyone heard anything of this or do we suspect idle gossip ?
  16. As in the prospect of being local to home. I vaguely recall one of the reasons Maddison joined us initially from Norwich was to be closer to Cov. There could also be an argument he would play more frequently for us, whereas a move to one of the others he might only be a bit part player
  17. Think he'd even do a job better than that lot from this season, along with Rick James and David Gray in midfield
  18. Maybe saw the opportunity to sell for a PSR profit? definitely like the idea of him here though.
  19. Never seen a professional footballer blowing out his arse before a ball is even kicked, watched him several times 2022-23 when he first arrived and he looked like they pulled him in on the way to Local Hero . Another one for the exit door.......bye!
  20. Vardy wont be playing 100% as he's just back from injury and Cremo won't want him injured again, highly unlikely Mahrez will either. by the sounds of things it could be Hamer Simpson Morgan Wasilewski Fuchs Albrighton Schlupp James Gray Okazaki Ulloa
