    Oasis

I've spent hours the last 2 days on YT watching loads of Oasis early stuff and listening to interviews with Noel. What a time to be alive in the mid 90's - I miss it. Noel talks a lot about the gigs with the first two albums being the best, how Liam's voice was incredible, the whole Brit Pop thing, and the fact they were still an indie band without all the corporate BS. Fast forward to their later stuff from 05 onwards and it's all very different and the magic seems to have disappeared. Here we are 20 years after that, and I think people need to manage their expectations of this reunion a bit. I'm sure the gigs next year will be decent and people will enjoy them but I don't expect the same electricity as Maine Road and Knebworth for example. Those days are gone and they're all old geezers like me in their 50's now.
  3. Get yourself the Taylor Made 'mini' driver mate (effectively a 2 wood) 43.75 inch shaft and only £380 which you can easily afford with all the commission you're making atm

    Oasis

I missed seeing Oasis live in their pomp which I've always regretted. My daughter's 18 year old boyfriend has been a massive fan for years (way before any talk of them getting back together) and we chat about the band together regularly. The excitement on his face was a picture when the reunion was announced. I'd much prefer that they both get to see them this time around instead of me and the wife. We had our fun back in the 90's and now it's the kids turn.
  5. Cool, so more a creative/Maddison type?
  6. I don't play FM so help me out here. Does this kid play the same position as Buonanotte?
  7. Nice trip to Poland

  10. FWIW mate, we're just in the process of booking my wife and daughter a few nights in Paris during Oct for her 18th birthday They're flying EasyJet from Luton and it's costing about £100 each return. The reason for this and not Eurostar is Luton airport is only 35 mins from us and I'll drop them off/pick them up so no extra car parking expense. Once they land at CDG they'll get the train into central Paris which takes about 30 mins then the metro to where they're staying. Hotels about £100 a night. Either way, Paris is well worth a visit and you can see everything in 2 or 3 days.
  11. I find him very bland and not particularly inspiring.
  12. Cheap though
  13. Should have been two
  14. All the space in the world.
  15. Was that the album with all the nude women on it? My Dad had a Hendrix double LP and I spent far too much time as a kid looking at the cover
  16. Difficult to pick a top 5 but I could listen to these albums over and over... Shed Seven - Going for Gold Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms George Michael - Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1 The Smiths - The Queen is Dead R.E.M. - Automatic for the People
  17. As a family of four on electric only (no gas in our village), our monthly DD is over £250 and the standing charge of 48p a day is only £14 of that - peanuts in comparison to our usage. The problem is a unit rate of 22p p/kWh (which was over 30p not long ago). A few years ago it was only 11 or 12p p/kWh which is why everyone's bills have doubled.

  19. Me, me, me, it's all about me. Anyway, that's enough about about me. What do you think about me?
  20. People who don't listen. Either constantly interrupting, butting in, or finishing your sentence. STFU, it's not always about you. Why not listen to understand sometimes rather than always listening to reply?
  21. I'm not usually a fan of clubs' retiring the shirt' of a legend but in Vardy's case I might be swayed...
  22. Seen it on SoccerLord but currently out of stock https://www.soccerlord.se/product/leicester-city-third-shirt-24-25/
  23. Not so sure about that. I reckon a point at Fulham would be a good result for us. My guess is we'll only win 2 or 3 away games this year and those will be against teams down at the bottom with us.
