Good start to Wrexhams league 1 campaign with a 3-2 win over Wycombe Could they go back to back to back promotions? Probably more interesting following their fortunes this season than Leicesters tbh

Players clearly need a drinks break. 15% possession does that to you.

People take years off work for sabbaticals, raising kids, travel, personal development, caring for elderly parents, all sorts of reasons. If you’re the right person for the job, a break from work shouldn’t be seen as a bad thing. Try and turn it into a positive

Photos of her in the US recently at a tournament signing autographs for kids with a fag hanging out her mouth. And she’s currently +8 after 13 holes and dead last in the Olympics golf.

Charley Hull told she’s not allowed to smoke in the women’s golf. Says smoking helps ‘calm her nerves’ on the course. Shes currently six over after 10 holes and second last.

Considering words alone are only 7% of how we communicate in the real world, it's amazing there's not more misunderstanding on here IMO We can't see non verbal cues, notice body language or hear tonality, let alone sense what's sarcasm, wit, humour, or a throwaway comment. Makes me wonder why we all bother posting at all really!

I get frustrated when someone clearly posts a hypothetical scenario to spark a discussion and some people immediately assume its their actual opinion, idea or stance on the subject.

I wrestle with this daily but probably not on as deep a level as the likes of you and LeicsMac. Some days I’m convinced it’s all been mapped out for us in advance and I feel fatalistic, but then I get lazy and just wait for things to happen. Then other days I’m convinced we’ve got free will and it’s all about taking action and ‘making things happen’ through hard work and personal responsibility. And while I’m lost in my head thinking about all this, I watch and admire people who just live in the moment and find joy in the here and now.

I assume it’s the effects of adrenaline pumping through their veins. The blood literally draining from their rational neo cortex brain and going into their arms and legs causing them to bounce around ready for a fight (or flight/run away)

The first thing my wife asks when I get back from golf is “did you win?” I start to tell her about my round but she glazes over and I give up. I need to download what happened so might sign up for Onlyfan

Imagine a scenario where the filthy rich in this country decided to give it all away and the millions of people on benefits or living below the breadline were given a lump sum of money as a gift. Imagine it was say £25k each. Enough to pay off debt, put down a deposit, invest, etc. I wonder how many people would go out and buy a flash car, book a luxurious holiday or piss it away on drugs and booze instead. I get the concept of financial equality but in practice I’m not sure it would really fix anything in this country. Financial education is the key and our kids should be taught about money and finance from an early age. It should be as important as English and Maths.

Thorpe was a joy to watch, reminded me of Gower when he was in full flow. Very sad news and only a few years older than me.
