You only have to look at the Managers appointed since Top took over to see that the club has no direction or forethought since Vichai died. If we assume that Brendan Rodgers appointment was part of a contingency plan that was in place when Vichai was alive and you view Puel & Rodgers as the last of the "Vichai-era" strategy (established, structural building) then everything since Rodgers' decline looks less like a plan and more likes a series of identity crises The Evidence for a "Revolving Door" without a Plan If we breakdown appointments since the 22/23 season, then the lack of cohesive thought pattern emerges Dean Smith (The Panic Button): After sticking with Rodgers too long, we pivot to a "fireman" with a completely different, simplified approach. A 2-month gamble that both failed and showed no long-term vision Enzo Maresca (The Total Reset) : We then swung 180 degrees back to a rigid, dogmatic "process" coach. It worked for the championship, but as soon as he left we didn't look for a "Maresca 2.0" to keep the system going Steve Cooper (Pragmatic Pivot) : Moving from Maresca to Copper was a complete tactical U-turn. Copper is a collaborater and pragmatic and not a system driven coach like Maresca. It suggested that the club did not believe in the "Enzo-ball" identity they appointed just 12 months earlier. Add in that Cooper was never going to go down with the fans, it appeared to be doomed to fail from the beginning Ruud Van Nistelrooy / Marti Cifuentes (The Thoughtless and The Toothless) : After sacking Cooper, we simply turned to a name... a manager that offered nothing and was probably only considered based on a couple of caretaker games at Man United. The delayed sacking off Ruud reduced our options for the next manager. Marti was brought in without a preseason and unable to bring his own players in and again with no obvious game plan 5 Managers in, none were brought into build on the previous plan... simply because except Enzo - they never had one The Problem with "Top's Tenure vs. Vichai's Under Vichai, the club felt like it had a North Star - something pointing out the direction. Even when managers changed, there was a sense of "The Leicester Way" - aggressive recruitment of undervalued gems and a clear underdog spirit Under Top, the "logic" seems to have fractured into three competing (and contradictory) goals when appointing a manager 1. Chasing the Big Six - Trying to play big team possession football. 2. Financial Desperation - Making managerial choices based on who can survive with an ever-thinning squad and PSR restraints 3. Experimental Hires: - Taking punts on random managers without the scouting infrastructure to support them - (this lack of infrasctrure also is why our player recruitment has been so poor) Is there a sustainable plan? The data suggests NO. A sustainable plan requires a board who picks a manager to fit a pre-existing squad. At Leicester, the squad and system has been rebuilt many times to suit wildly different managerial philsopheries (from a high-pressing 4-2-3-1 of Rodgers, to the inverted fullback & double 8 system of Maresca, back to the pragmatism of Cooper and the following clueless two) This "revolving door" is expensive and has lead to a bloated, disjointed squad which is exactly what has caused the recent instability both on and off the field Not a single fan thinks the club have a plan on who to appoint next and simply have no clue at what direction we are even planning and whilst the person picking the managers and overseeing the financial mess then nothing changes. King Power has to go

I’m not angry, I’m disappointed - but with whom?
beepee1984 replied to Sly's topic in Leicester City Forum
Winks - He was arguably one of the best players in the Championship 2 years ago, not just has his professionalism shocking, his performances before his banishment were really poor Mavididi - He has shown nothing going forward and disappointed this season. We have won just 6 of 20 games he has started, we have only lost 2 of 7 games when he hasn't -
How many managers do we have to sack before we sack the person who appointed them?

Realistic Managerial Replacements
beepee1984 replied to winteriscoming's topic in Leicester City Forum
Is Lee Carsley realistic? Being working with young players for a long time, could be an option to help bring out the best in our academy lads -
Has his staff left too? Xavi Calm and Javier Ortiz?
-
Yesterday I wanted him gone But hearing the news has not excited me for future games Who knows who will follow him Still got a full squad of players who are so disinterested in the club it is unreal Add in the players who are so delusional they think posting "I thought we played well for 2-3 minutes" was acceptable in any way and expect what Still the same board, still no transfer activity It just feels like, oh Marti has gone, meh who cares
-
If King is still in charge on the 28th Feb and is not the permanent manager - I would suggest that shows as proof to how badly mismanaged the club is at the moment Although I agree with your sentiment, the protest has to be clearly aimed at the board and not any new manager
-
I'm all in And to those querying the date Realistically the sit in the concourse failed because of lack of organisation If we did Charlton then it would fail too because it is too late to start planning Norwich is the next Saturday home game with any preparation time But I would also say that one off protests are not heard, we need to gain traction If we are serious then we need to be planning protests for every Saturday home game, at least already be thinking about QPR on the 14th March to follow this up

South Coast Derby If Southampton win - they go above us If Portsmouth win - they'll go above us once we have a points deduction So we want a draw right?

Have you been to see your doctor about these clearly self harm intentions? I'm really concerned for your welfare

Oh crap - trying to get an 11 out of this squad Begovic Aluko Okoli Vestergaard Ricci Skipp Fatawu Page BDCR Monga Daka Jacob, Gray, L Thomas, Hamza, Soumare, Mavididi, S Thomas, Motsi, Ayew We need to play higher up the pitch and use two number 8s, we are likely to have more possession and need to have it in their half instead of at our centre backs feet. Poor performances need to be punished, we need rotation - yes I am aware it is rotating bad for bad, but it has to be done. Jacob has not performed - bring in Begovic - oh but he is still learning and young for a GK - well todays lesson, don't play well then another will take your place Thomas and Hamza have failed repeatedly at full back, Aluko only failed once - bring him back in and try him in his preferred RB role... Ricci can move he should have the experience to cope better. Skipp should be back, concussion injury shouldn't mean his match fitness is affected and can come straight back into the holding role - Soumare if not, but Hamza needs dropping arguably from a great height after saying "we played well for the first 2-3 minutes" - unacceptable and tone death Page was arguably the best player against Oxford - play him again and push him more forward We have 3 decent wingers - we need to rotate them - the worst performer gets dropped each game - inspire competition - on this occasion Mavididi didn't play well enough and is dropped for Monga and he can be used off the bench If Evans is going out on loan and won't be used, they we need to rotate our useless strikers until one of them turns up. Ayew has had a run in the team and so far shown nothing

Honestly I don’t even expect 100% every game, but this lot haven’t given 10% for 90% of the games. The attitude is spreading to the academy lads, Thomas is a worse offender. I think being around such unprofessionalism and the severe negativity around the club is also effecting the teenagers development here - which is a shame, because our academy is producing at the moment
-
No patterns really They don’t like asking people at the beginning of the month. Brendan is the only one sacked in the first half of the month Only Clauds have been sacked in the Winter and only in late Feb Out of Tops 6 managers, 3 have left at season end and two Brendan & Rudd outstayed their welcome like Marti has There will be no action until after the points deduction and until it is too late
-
I actually think it is. I remember the 07/08 season, where we slept walked into relegation with no one ever really believing it would happen until too late. But honestly that team had so much more fight than this team. We could also defend back then ... yes we struggled to create, but we actually went down conceding less than a goal a game - This season our defence is as bad as our attack This team just won't play... they just don't care and have no interest in the club and honestly the gap between the players and the fans has never been greater and it is clear they are not playing for us or the club Despite the football and the relegation of 07/08, there was never any thought that the club were drifting into abyss. We always knew we were likely to bounce back and the club were in a much better position financially than we are now. In Milan Mandaric we had someone who knew how to run a football club and wanted to see the club succeed - now the attitude on the pitch is bad, but the attitude in the board room is even worse
-
I love the bit where he says Pearson would not accept it, but Marti just repeatedly just does nothing
-
I think you are being harsh… Matt Heath wasn’t that bad
-
Wherever you are taking them, can you take Marti too?

Realistic Managerial Replacements

Who would take this job? We are going to have to pay over the odds to get a poor manager -
ITS OFFICIAL we are in a relegation battle
beepee1984 replied to Joe90's topic in Leicester City Forum
Well I'm glad you've noticed - where have you been! We've been in a relegation battle for ages - but who the f*** made it official! -
I’m still in shock the half time sub of Thomas on for Nelson didn’t change the match

Lost 2-1, harsh on Oxford they deserved to win 3-0
