Is he available for the derby match?? If so give him and Wague a run out at CB, if it works then start both against Swansea.
-
King at CAM anyone? If we are switching back to 4-4-1-1, Slimani/King/Okazaki provides us with different options in that position.
-
Maybe LW is his best position? He played well there vs Palace & Spurs, good defensively and got two goals.
-
this sherlock episode is creepy

Albrighton created the most chances in our team last season from the left But that's last season. I agree he should play on the right wing. When Slimani gets back, I'm guessing we'll rotate Vardy/Slimani at CF in the 4-3-3 depending on opposition. Albrighton on the right will assist Slimani for fun
-
This. If we are switching to 4-3-3, Musa's only chance of getting into the team will be on the left which many people aren't keen on.
-
Where does Musa fit in Vs Chelsea? Vardy will still start at CF.
-
I think Musa should fight with Slimani/Okazaki for the role behind Vardy. He doesn't get in ahead of either of them, but if we're ever a goal or 2 up he'd be a decent counter attacking threat to bring off the bench. Slimani = target man/physicality Okazaki = workrate Musa = counter attack all 3 of them give us different options for that position.

they are building the story, so the eps will be quite slow. Hopefully it all pays off but I understand your point also I dont understand the point of that Tara ep unless they join forces with that group she bumped into

lets be honest, both him and Slimani were signed to compete with Shinji for the CAM role. But now Claudio's probably realised.. Both Musa & Slimani don't have the same defensive attributes as Shinji. Also with Mahrez on the wing, if we play Slimani/Musa CAM it leaves our defence so exposed. Instead of 8 players when defending, it becomes 7. IMO Musa/Mahrez/Slimani are probably better suited to the 4-3-3 and I'm guessing that's the formation we'll play, after the January window.
-
honestly wouldn't be surprised if Hamza Choudhury is better than him
-
He's just not good enough defensively and has lapses in concentration, which is costly when he plays the CDM role in the 4-4-2. So until Drinkwater & Mendy are back.. What about playing him further forward charging opposition down in a high press similar to what Kante did. If he can start winning tackles/interceptions in the opponents half, then that's when we can be dangerous.
-
Griezmann has said the three nominees for the Balon D'or should be Ronaldo, Messi & Vardy
-
his defensive work is underrated. He helped fuchs out a lot vs spurs & palace and walker didn't get forward as much, because Musa was always a threat/option on the counter
-
Vardy was better than Kane last season. Broke the PL record, optimized what we were about, helped defy 5000/1 odds, workrate , fought for every ball, created chances and opportunity for his team mates aswell as himself. Compare that to Kane's performances. Your typical greedy striker, playing for himself & shooting from any angle when there were players in better positions.

bringing up achievements dating 100 years ago wont cancel out the fact they came third in a two horse race

They are running out of good characters. A lot of deaths were unnecessary in previous seasons like.. Merle, Beth, Dale, Andrea, Tyrese.. If they kept some of these fan favourites alive & then killed them off in the upcoming seasons, it would be more dramatic. The only deaths which were truly gripping and added to the plot were Shane's, Hershel's, Lori's, Bob's & Carol's daughter. Also why are we getting 2+ seasons with Negan, when we only got a few episodes with Terminus/the Cannibals? They were great villains and that storyline could have been spread out over 1 or 2 seasons, to help build up the characters even more, but instead the plot got rushed. Now Negan gets 2+ seasons, but the Negan storyline will be wasted as nobody really cares about the majority of the cast that are left. The earlier seasons gave us lots of character development & character storylines. The show's diverted from that and are using shock value & gimmicks to toy with the viewers, instead of developing the story/characters in an organic way. They are probably going to try build up Eugene, Rosita, Aaron and other bland characters, but it's too late. They should have been developing these characters in recent seasons, to help replace the fan favourites that died & also in preparation for the Negan storyline. Seriously, if Rosita suddenly gets lots of airtime this season, then gets killed next season who is going to care?

Kramaric has 8 appearances, 5 assists, 3 goals not bad
-
Claudio said in pre-season, we can still play 4-4-2 without Kante but it has to be a different style of 4-4-2. I think what he meant was, having one defensive CM that sits back and, one box to box. Hopefully Mendy can play that role better than Amartey and has good passing range, but.. With Mendy injured, right now the best partner for Drinkwater is Matty James.
-
thing is if we shift him out wide, we'll have six wingers competing for 2 places. We can still play Vardy/Musa centrally, but we need that link man behind them. Okazaki/Slimani should be rotating for that role, every game. We've seen glimpses of Slimani do the Okazaki role (Vs Burnley, Brugge). But he can't do it 3 times a week. Rotate both Shinji/Slimani regularly and, I'm sure Vardy/Musa will be more of a threat and get better service.

already feel more safe here than the match thread

Albrighton, like Vardy , has been made ineffective by teams tactics. When he gets the ball, he looks to get it over the top as quickly as possible for Vardy, or put a cross in. Teams know this, so sit deep to stop the ball over the top and force him onto his left foot. I think both Albrighton & the team would benefit, if he and Mahrez swap wings. However, its harsh to give criticism to Albrighton, because some of his defensive contribution has helped us gain points (Porto). One thing is for sure, don't write off Albrighton because he is a quality player, gives us his all and is our best crosser.
-
How many strikers have come from Russia to here, period? Less than ten? Possibly even five, because I can hardly name any. So it's harsh to judge Musa alongside those players when the sample group is so small.
-
we need to rotate more. We may aswell have rotated Vs United/Liverpool, we still have the players to be competitive. Gray Okazaki Kaputska Musa That front four could be as frightening as Mahrez/Slimani/Vardy. And it'll also offer the same defensive quality as Albrighton. Okazaki & presumably Kaputska can both defend well.
