  1. Bellends. Get a firefighter manager in TOMORROW.
  2. This is the right thing to do, but the right time to do it was the summer. We don't have the luxury of concentrating on this mid-season during a crisis. Rather than appointing a long term executive team who can work with the right manager, our priority in Feb 2026 has to be getting in a firefighter as manager. The background stuff absolutely needs changing, but do that properly while an experienced manager grinding out some 1-0s at home and ugly away draws to keep us up. The new appointment doesn't need to have a 5 year contract. Get in Pearson / Rowett / Mowbray until the end of the season then assess from there.
  3. I do like him as a player but neither he or Fatawu have been good enough this season to dedicate our whole attacking system to. Both have shown moments of individual brilliance (Fatawu much more than Mavididi), but the formation needs to change and neither should not be automatic starters.
  4. I'm pretty sure they'll give King the Southampton home game and if he gets a result he'll get longer.
  5. We don't have the players to make 4-2-3-1 work. Every time I post it people laugh at me, but I think we should switch to a 5 at the back to solidify things. Begovic Nelson Lascelles (c) Okoli Aluko. Kristiansen Aribo Skipp Winks Mukasa Daka (/Richards) The division is rank and if we stopped conceding 2+ every game we'd actually pick up some points.
  6. Careful, the board might read this and appoint Darren Ferguson. Or Sarah.
  7. True. He's been quite forward leaning about health issues in the past, but you're right of course. I just really want Nigel back 😂
  8. If he's healthy enough, Pearson feels so maddeningly obvious. I feel like if he wasn't healthy enough or didn't fancy it that would have been briefed out to the media by now.
  9. He's unlikely to get anything better. There's a reason why ugly women marry ugly blokes...!
  10. I'm actually more confident we will stay up today than I was yesterday. Was fearing a 12ish point deduction.
  11. I don't think Poter would be the worst appointment but the only similarity with Ranieri is they both managed Greece... Looking at their top flight managerial experience Claudio: 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Chelsea 🇪🇸 Atletico Madrid, Valencia x2 🇮🇹 Cagliari, Napoli, Fiorentina, Parma, Juventus, Roma, Inter Milan Poyet 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Sunderland 🇪🇸 Betis (10 games)
  12. Whenever I put a 5-3-2 out people say that - you'd think I'd take the hint 😆 I think we've got players who could make it work. I also think a lot of those players would look better with an extra centre back, centre mid and centre forward. I also think Fatawu needs dropping...
  13. Ah yes of course. I'd like to see us increase bodies at CB, CM and CF - we don't have good enough players there, and you can't win games with such a flimsy core. I fully expect it will be the same XI, same formation and same tactics. Just with some subs coming on at 60 minutes when we're 3-0 down
  14. Begovic Nelson Lascelles Okoli Pereira Thomas Skipp Winks Mukasa Daka Mavididi
  15. You'll drive yourselves mad playing fantasy Championship Manager... do yourselves a favour and have a few months off the speculation!
  16. I wonder how ITK these lads really are if they all spell Mukasa's name wrong 😂
  17. He makes a fair point. JJ has clearly been good. El Khannouss, Fatawu, Hermansen. Plus some decent fees recently for McAteer, Coady, Justin, Ndidi. Yes we've made bad transfers as well but just acting like a nihilistic teenager about everything the club does is ****ing boring.
  18. I'm so naively optimistic I'm really excited about these signings. 2 of whom I'd never heard of last week (Divine Mukasa, Whisper Richards) 1 of whom I vaguely knew the name of (Joe Aribo) 1 of whom I wouldn't have been shocked to find out was retired (Jamaal Lascelles) 😂
  19. True, but still puts him in the shop window at a place he's succeeded previously.
  20. Can't say I know anything about him but we need an extra body in midfield. The noise coming from Southampton fans is worrying, but I'm glad we're at least getting somebody in.
  21. Of all the names linked, this is comfortably the one I want done most. Relegation threatened teams need to build from the back and Hermansen is a massive upgrade on Stolarczyk. West Ham are probably desperate to get rid and he's probably desperate to be in the shop window / to get minutes to get in the Denmark squad for the World Cup.
  22. Bumping this thread because Vardy (or whoever runs his social media account...) likes a post on Instagram Some of our fans treat him like an ex girlfriend they can't get over...
  23. I can't see it happening but obviously if he's mad enough to come here we should get him in. Would solve the "we've got no good fit full backs" problem as one would spend half the game in midfield while the other was basically a centre back Every player who he had before could feasibly step up massively from what we're currently seeing. Ricardo, Veste, Winks, Mavididi and Fatawu were all team of the year candidates now playing as also-rans. I think he got much more out of duffers like Choudhury and Daka too. It goes without saying he's tactically better than what we've had since, but more than that he seems to control locker rooms and knows how to handle big egos.
  24. If he can get fit I'd be very happy with this. We need leadership and somebody to organise the defence. However, I don't really trust we'll get him fit or keep him fit, so this feels more like a Conor Coady signing than a Robert Huth.
  25. Spoke to a Man City fan yesterday who said there's a lot of hype around Musaka. Man City youth academy seems to churn out good players, so it's as safe a bet as a teenage loan can be really!
