  1. Superb win. When the fixtures came out this was one of the runs of games I thought we need to pick up wins in. Because equally, there are full months where we could get no points. (h) Bournemouth WIN (a) Southampton WIN (h) Forest (a) Ipswich We definitely rode our luck against Bournemouth and from the highlights today was a ding-dong that could have ended 5-5. But you can't argue with the results. Now for 4/6 points from the next two games, please!
  2. Excellent performance yesterday, looks a good player.
  3. I'm biased as a friend's dad is a youth scout for the club, but I don't think this is fair. In recent years we've given plenty of opportunities to develop genuine talents (Barnes, Chilwell and KDH) and chances to those who really aren't that good (Thomas, Choudhury, McAteer). Historically our academy seems to have produced a disproportionate amount of good players. Plenty have gone on to have strong top flight careers (eg Heskey, Schlupp, King). I think we have just broken a record of something like 175 successive games featuring a home-grown player. Hopefully Alves gets a chance to start creating a new streak soon!
  4. Hermansen Ricardo Okoli Veste Justin Skipp Winks Fatawu Buonanotte Mavididi Edouard
  5. I dunno, Villa and Spurs are both good teams (4th and 5th last season). Palace and Fulham both tricky places to go. Not beating Everton at home (and not really looking likely to) is clearly poor though.
  6. Hard to win a game when you're unemployed tbf
  7. I'm fully behind Cooper and find much of the criticism towards him completely over the top, but his complaining about the Palace goal is just embarrassing. I understand creating a siege mentality within a club, but this is more of a whingeing culture and will just make referees / the FA dislike us even more.
  8. Idk - Esteban Cambiasso, Kevin Phillips and Marcin Wasilewski all had good 'Indian Summers' with us during the Pearson era. There's a place for the odd experienced pro, though I do agree Coady seems to have offered us very little.
  9. Maresca has said he's ill.
  10. Oliver Skipp has plenty of upside. Looks old but he won the U21 Euros last summer!
  11. Mads Ricky Vestegaard Okoli Justin Skipp Winks Fatawu Bilal* Mavididi Edouard *Hopefully!
  12. Good player but we've got enough 30+ year old centre backs. Unless there's a way to shift Vestegaard or Coady to Saudi/Turkey, better to stick with what we've got.
  13. Probably, but we should be able to get a fair wedge at least
  14. Dreadful news. Great player but more importantly he seemed to be a great man. RIP
  15. They've signed Andy (phone) Booth
  16. I've got a sneaky feeling we're going to beat Villa. Mads Ricardo Faes Veste Justin Skipp Winks Ndidi Fatawu Ayew Mavididi Love Vardy but he should be an impact sub. Buenonatte looks great but I'd be worried of the midfield being overrun with a no10. Vardy and Bueno on for Ayew and Ndidi on 60 mins, Leicester win 2-1.
  17. With seven academy graduates in the squad as well (five on the pitch). Appreciate it was a lowly opposition, but I feel like the negativity on this place is so over the top.
  18. It's good to keep the opposition guessing who we'll pick. We have six versatile players for the front line, offering various combinations that can change our playstyle and keep opponents on their toes. There are two pacey threats (Mavididi or Fatawu), two experienced grafters (Ayew or Decordova), and two creative options (Buenonatte or Bilal). It's a solid mix of youth and experience. None are world-class (yet!) but some have potential to develop well. (A centre forward would be nice too, please!)
  19. Well our fans moan when we buy established Prem players like Decordova Reid and Ayew. Then again, our fans still moan when we buy lesser known prospects like Okoli and Bilal Ultimately, unless you're paying top prices it's always going to be a gamble. It's right to get a mix of profiles.
  20. I think there will be a striker coming in on loan. Probably Fofana from Chelsea, or some unknown I've never heard of!
  21. I'd not heard of him until last week but seems like an exciting signing. Gerr'im in!
  22. Nice one. Ayew is no superstar but this idea he's an absolute donkey unable to contribute anything is just bizarre. He has played in the Premier League for 10 years, started regularly in a decent team last season. Highly rated by multiple managers, popular with his ex club's fans and won dozens of international caps. I hope the "supporters" who arrogantly wrote Ayew off when he was linked get behind him now he's a Leicester player.
  23. I get it's Tranmere and I don't want to suggest that he'll score like that every week, but hopefully the level of disrespect reduces now. He's a decent player!
  24. Different people like different players. He's not the sort of player I like as a centre back - too unreliable, sloppy and hot-headed. Re his attitude... Wanted to leave when we got relegated https://foxesofleicester.com/2023/08/11/leicester-city-cb-leave-club-window/ Said if he has a good Euros he hopes to get a move https://www.caughtoffside.com/2024/06/04/leicester-ace-admits-he-could-leave-after-euro-2024-if-he-has-good-campaign/ Now complaining about playing left side of centre back and publicly throwing his teammates under the bus. Maybe some of this is media spin but he seems to be an arrogant arsehole - and his performances do not remotely merit him thinking he's better than Leicester City Football Club.
  25. Yes please. When he came into the team under Dean Smith you could see a decent player in there. But he always seems so miserable and lethargic, can't imagine he's good for team spirit. Hopefully we can shift him permanently but I'd rather he went somewhere on loan if that's all we can do.
