  1. There are deeper problems but the manager still has to go. His tactics clearly don't work, but be won't change them. Absolutely dreadful.
  2. Might be a reference to Adrien Silva 14 seconds fiasco?
  3. Of course it will be as many of the same as usual as he can field, but if I was in charge I'd shake things up. - Begovic - Okoli Veste Nelson Pereira Aluko - Choudhury Page Soumare - Daka Mavididi I'm sick of 4-2-3-1, and while 5-3-2 feels negative at home to Oxford it's a good time to try a new formation. This would get extra bodies to make up for weaknesses in central defence, central midfield and up front. Seems strange to drop Fatawu but he needs to know there's a consequence to rotten form. Could still be a second half sub. Daka needs a strike partner and I feel like an out of position Mavididi could be more of a threat than Ayew. Christ, we are shit.
  4. This is a bit of a stretch, as both O'Neill and Pearson had stints at clubs around the size of Leicester before managing us. Plus, plenty of highly rated managers we got from the smaller teams / lower leagues flopped - Martin Allen, Peter Taylor, Ian Holloway. In our current predicament, I think we should be looking at somebody experienced with a no2 ready to take over in 18 months. We need somebody who knows this level inside out and is going to command respect from a dressing room that needs straightening out. Nigel Pearson would obviously be a strong option if he's healthy. Failing that, Tony Mowbray could fit what we need well.
  5. Is it possible that Leicester are in a secret transfer embargo? Would one have to actually be announced?
  6. They stopped doing it for ex-players months ago, after loads of criticism to every post they did. Makes sense to just stop completely rather than risk upsetting a player / their fans because they're not on the top tier. eg would you wish Muzzy Izzet a happy birthday but not Neil Lennon? Emile Heskey but not Steve Claridge? Becomes a headache for something that is also a complete waste of time
  7. Prob just support the phoenix club set up after we disappeared. I've not lived in Leicester for 20 odd years, so supporting an existing Leics non league team I have no previous affiliation to would feel weird. In an ideal world my kids will eventually get into football (no sign yet...). If they did we could get into all supporting a local club where we live in Oxfordshire. Oxford City I guess, maybe Abingdon United or Didcot Town. Oxford United feel too close to Leicester... I'd feel dirty supporting them
  8. Root‑and‑branch change is needed to stop us being the dysfunctional shell of a football club we’ve become. But short‑term improvement is absolutely possible. With a proper disciplinarian in charge, we’ve got the foundations of a mid-table side and young players who could actually grow the club. Stick with soft‑touch management that never fixes the rotten culture and we’ll be relegated next season - or this season if a points deduction goes badly. If Pearson's fit, get him in. With Marcin Wasilewski as his assistant
  9. He seems like a broken man. His team play like they're broken. Not sure if he's just out of his depth or if this dressing room is beyond saving regardless of the manager, and we as fans just need to wait out all of the contracts. I still have a bit of optimism in me that hopes it's the former and a change of manager to a disciplinarian type will bring something out of the players we have.
  10. The best right back I've ever seen play for the club, but that player is just a memory now. It's sad to see him put in a performance like that. Can't really play at a good level any more, but obviously can't now play at all midweek after playing at a weekend. He's been paid handsomely but at the same time it's injuries he's suffered being a great pro for the club that have left him a shadow of his former self.
  11. This is so boring. Remember when football used to be fun?
  12. Nobody would pay him anything like what he's on here, though. I suspect he'll go on a loan to the top tier in Italy, France or Spain, do well then get a permanent move in the summer. The problem with Winks hasn't been his ability - he just signed to play for Enzo Maresca and has had the hump since we replaced him with three chancers. No excuse for downing tools, though.
  13. There's an argument towards this, but I'm a bit worried our young players are over hyped. The U21s have finished the last three seasons 10th, 20th and bottom.
  14. He's definitely been a disaster since day one, but his debut was the 6-2 at Spurs. I dislike Dennis Wise more and we've had worse players, but can't remember having a player I hate seeing play for us stick around anywhere near as long as Faes. Genuinely buzzing that he's gone
  15. Nobody has said that The criticism if you're not nihilistic about absolutely everything is a bit tiring. I miss Leicester being good, but more than that I miss when supporting us used to be fun. Feels like you're at a political protest now.
  16. 1. Page 2. Monga 3. Nelson 4. Braybrooke 5. Alves
  17. I think they stopped with the cringe happy birthday posts a while ago. I'd rather that policy than being told somebody like Riccardo Scimecca or Darren Kenton is celebrating their birthday every time I log onto social media.
  18. Playing in Cyprus now! Feels like we dodged a bullet there...
  19. 'Breaking' is an apt headline. Lots of sympathy for him but we should cancel the loan if we can
  20. He's no world beater but Woyo Coulibaly is rumoured to be coming back / might already be back, and he can play left back. Hamza never has been, isn't and won't ever be good enough to play for Leicester. At least with Woyo I don't know that for sure... yet
  21. I've really liked Page every time I've seen him play. Really exciting future - I just hope a decent chunk of it is here...
  22. I know it won't happen, but it would be nice to see a different set-up to 4-2-3-1. A good chance to see some younger / fringe players, but I'd keep a few experienced heads to help them along. eg . Spanish guy . Nelson Veste Okoli Aluko Coulibaly(/Thomas) . Golding Choudhury Page . Evans Daka
  23. I really don't like the way Cifuentes sets out the team, but he has always said he styles his teams to Johan Cruyff's philosophies. The fact they aren't running as much as other teams isn't surprising. Of course, Cruyff was referring to teams with elite and intelligent footballers. Cifuentes trying to force that style onto this set is what makes for such rotten football.
