  1. I like this appointment. Should have been earlier and whether it's enough remains to be seen, but I think it gives us a much better chance.
  2. I live here too and this is the view I get from the sensible Oxford fans I know. We should set up an Oxford Chisits society. Let's be miserable together.
  3. No doubt this is true, but those comments sound like they're coming from fans of other clubs.
  4. I genuinely think the board have already decided it's King until the end of the season. I wanted Cifuentes out but it makes literally no sense to remove 80% of a failing regime and expect the 20% that's left to improve things. Wouldn't be surprised if King walks away himself. Then we'll just put inanimate carbon rod in charge til the end of the season.
  5. Genuinely, no. Not the biggest Facebook guy so maybe I'm not in the groups where these people post. I just checked the comments on recent posts on the club account and it's 100% negative
  6. I always wonder this. I never speak to anyone who is 'KPFC' or thinks Rudkin or Top are doing a good job. It's just that everything seems to have to be a binary, polarised culture war now. People seem unable to have an opinion unless there's a group they can oppose who think the opposite I guess I'm doing that now too 😂 We're shit and it's miserable. I can confidently say 99.9% people think the same, but lots on this forum seem to think there's a civil war between them and other (imaginary) fans.
  7. I know - I'm not saying what I want or what King wants, I'm saying what Top hopes he can get away with...
  8. ... or just keeping Andy King, which seems to be their preferred option
  9. Really don't like Russell Martin but I'd literally take anyone under 60 who has 3+ years experience as a manager over just leaving Andy King in charge. (No shade on Andy King - not his fault but clearly not the man we need in the dugout)
  10. 😂 Like saying a club should hire Mark Goldbridge as a manager because he is good at criticising managers. Methven is an old Etonian who inherited his wealth and has failed at multiple clubs. Hated at Sunderland and Charlton... the guy's an absolute chancer.
  11. They're desperately hoping King will be fine and they won't have to bring in a manager until the executive vacancies are filled. It's unbelievable we've actually managed to get even worse manager every time since the diabolical appointment of Cooper. Cooper 3.5/10 Ruud 2/10 Marti 1.5/10 King 0/10 (not his fault, he's not a manager)
  12. There are so few movements on managerial replacements the thread has turned into talking about training ground replacements 😂
  13. Another week lost. Certainly does seem like it'll just be King unless (/until) we get even deeper in the shit. It's honestly hard to not feel like you're being a mug for even caring at this stage.
  14. I'm saying we should change things... I'm not saying I have any faith we will!
  15. I was at a wedding with Charlie Methven recently and he was a posh bellend. Born into money and now a failed exec at three football clubs. I don't think he's as much of a football or finance expert as he makes out... Even if he does know what he's talking about on this occasion, I have zero appetite to listen to a prat like him depress me even more about the state of Leicester. Also - remember when supporting a football team used to be fun and not like studying economics
  16. I've not watched the video but surely fans would accept stripping back to an EFL-level budget rather than continuing to gamble on an unlikely success and risk extinction. Loads of wages will be leaving the club soon and we still have a few sellable assets. 2026 contracts expiring: Winks, Daka, Pereira, Ayew all likely to be on massive wages. Loans plus Lascelles, Begovic also probably on a lot 2026 sales: We could surely find suitors for El Khannouss (20m), Fatawu (20m) and Faes (5m). Get what we can for Mavididi, Skipp, Okoli, Choudhury. I know they might be reluctant due to other clubs not matching their wages but we could pay them off with some of the transfer fee to get them out. They must all hate it playing here. Replace them all with modest players on EFL budget salaries. Mixed with academy players who hopefully kick on and get us rolling again or generate some fees for the future. I know entire rebuilds are mad, but I think this is the position we're in. If we need a lot of money to stabilise, I really wouldn't be against selling Seagrave to Forest and moving back into the old training ground.
  17. Seems goalkeeper is another one of those positions where I start to fool myself that whoever isn't playing is better than the donkey who is playing. See also: - Pereira / Hamza - Every centre back - Thomas / Kristiansen - Every central midfielder - Daka / Ayew
  18. There's an out of work manager who took over in similar circumstances and built foundations that won 3 leagues in 8 years. Why wouldn't we be keen he returns? 😂 He had bad health immediately after leaving Bristol City in 2023 but as of Feb 2025 he was posting about cycling the Peak District and climbing mountains. Seemed healthy at the Vardy send off too.. I'd have thought he'd be fully up for it if offered.
  19. I'm pretty sure that's Southampton tbf
  20. If I was Aiyawatt's advisor. 1. Sack Rudkin 2. In the statement announcing this apologise for the state of the club and recognise all the problems are not down to just him. It's also your fault and the players' fault 3. New DOF and manager until the end of the season...
  21. I didn't reply to any of the bellends on WhatsApp last night. Frustrated me as I'm not one to do that sort of stuff when another team is in the muck. The meme-y wind-up merchant nature of modern football fans is weird.
  22. I agree to an extent but really they just need to not get it wrong rather than get it right. We're crap but one of the out of work managers will be tempted, and there are loads who would improve us. Phone the following tomorrow and invite anyone who wants to be considered (either for 6 months or full time) to interview on Thursday. 1. Nigel Pearson 2. Enzo Maresca 3. Gareth Southgate 4. Ange Postecoglu 5. Dean Smith 6. Ralph Hassenhutl 7. Tony Mowbray 8. Gary Rowett 9. Tony Pulis 10. Sam Allardyce If any of them want it and show an ounce of motivation in their interview, hire the one highest on the above list that day. Get them in asap and treat the next 2 weeks like a mini pre-season, with the cup game like a friendly.
  23. Has clearly never been good enough and he clearly never will be. He's not even got the excuse of youth any more - 25 this season, with 5 seasons of regular football behind him. Should be in the prime of his career. He probably is in his prime but his career should absolutely not be here. I can't believe we extended his contract to 2029. ****ing hell.
  24. Tonight is the most annoyed I think I've ever been about football. I've had a lot of apathy this season but dared to think "maybe the cloud is actually lifting" after the first half. Pathetic for a man in my 40s with kids and a serious job, but I actually can't get to sleep after that. Hopefully this can be some sort of a "rock bottom" moment. Other big setbacks have become catalysts in hindsight. I don't think we have the brains in the boardroom or the balls on the pitch to make this one of them. Hire the best manager you can find in the next 48 hours and sort this ****ing mess out. I'd love it to be Nigel Pearson but just get somebody in who knows how to be an actual manager.
  25. It's not his fault, he shouldn't be asked to be manager. Why is he the ****ing manager when we're in a crisis???
