  1. I saw The Darkness on Thursday, which as always makes me want to buy a Les Paul Jordan Guitars in Glenfield have got a 1955 Les Paul Custom, a bargain at 25 grand. I could save a bit of money by walking there to pick it up
  2. Yeah, according to a guy I know who's some sort of motor industry consultant (I'm not sure what he actually does) 12v battery issues account for the majority of EV breakdown call outs. It did it again last night, so assuming it will start this morning I'll be driving it to the dealership where I'll throw the key at them and make it their problem. I'll be given a hire car supposedly, having never had a brand new car before the extra support is a bit of a novelty for me
  3. The Darkness are Britain's greatest band of the last 30 years
  4. My car broke down! Before anyone says, well what do you expect from an EV, the irony of it was it was failure of the 12v battery, likely due to excessive drain from an as yet unidentified source, the exact problem the 14 year old Mazda I traded it in for had. Great news for traditionalists worried about the pace of technological change, the old problems are still there to be enjoyed
  5. My car broke down so that's that one answered
  6. Dunno if this is a good or bad sign of how the rest of today will go Wordle 1,377 2/6 ⬜🟩⬜⬜🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

  8. Not really but I did feel more valued as a customer
  9. I've just spent the money that normally goes on my share of the ST I'm not renewing on a really painful filling, I'm sure there's some irony in there somewhere

  11. If you look really closely you can see in the monitor the reflection of his eyes lighting up when he realises 'I can make a fuss about this'
  12. Honestly, given how much they've gone on about them over the years with current efforts to destigmatize sex offending I don't know if I'm coming or going!
  13. Similar vibes, @spacemunky Wordle 1,375 5/6 🟨🟨⬜🟨⬜ 🟩🟩⬜⬜🟨 🟩🟩🟩⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

  16. I did about 5.5 miles, turning off Abbey Lane to run up the hill to come out on Halifax Drive, that's quite the climb so unsurprisingly felt knackered afterwards

  18. Unless the club shits out an official way of sharing a ST equally with someone else at the last minute it looks like I'm done with it. Have discussed it with the guy I share with and we can't be arsed with any workarounds or whatever, so have made our peace with not going anymore
  19. Streak of one. Thought I was going to have a repeat of yesterday for a minute Wordle 1,371 5/6 ⬜🟨⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜🟨⬜🟩 ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  20. Good to see a British show doing well on a non UK streaming platform. Doesn't happen much
  21. I got to the 'what's a Wordle kind of word?' stage, and it turned out I didn't know
  22. I was a Bellend long before the period in question, why would they have a problem with it now? To add insult to injury, the same company has delivered a separate order to me since this one started going wrong
  23. Lived here for 14 years and nobody's ever had a problem delivering stuff here...until today
