People shouldn't be comparing him to Vardy imo, he's his own man, and a different player. Vardy is unique, there's not been many / any like him before in terms of how he runs back lines and his athleticism running into spaces, pulling apart defenders etc. I think Daka's a bit more of a technical centre forward as well.

has anyone mentioned the fact that he actually likes to play forward. what a breath of fresh air, he actually runs forward with the ball, and picks a decent pass. gets our players going forwards instead of backwards.

Good to see Nacho and Daka starting. Vardy just isn't doing it. The football we are playing just doesn't suit him and I think he has lost half a yard of pace.

Saw Maddison yesterday as I drove past the training ground, he was turning in to it, in his blue car with his white hat on Hopefully means he will be fit for Thursday.

Maddison does seem to thrive off the presence of Vardy, and it does seem to up his game, I think it's because of the movement Vardy has, it works well for Madders as he's looking for those incisive passes and Vardy finds the space for him so well. Has to be said though, Maddison has been in a rich vein of form for the past few weeks / last month or so though - in all competitions.

Yeah special mention to Amartey, he was imperious tonight. Edit- and Cags, infact the whole team played really well, but I think the two CBs, for the pressure and critique they've had the past few weeks, were particularly outstanding.
