I'd argue Dean Smith has more coaching credentials than either Maresca (prior to his appointment) Van Nistelrooy or Cifuentes and probably at least on a par with Steve Cooper.

He will know Thomas and Hamza and whether they are worth including very well, when we were near the top of the premiership and Thomas first got thrown in he did alright, its what tune he manages to get out of whoever is on the pitch. It feels like we have thrown away a lot of games this season, so it made me go back on this season check games where we were leading to my shock I seen 6 wins 4 draws and no defeats before today with a half time lead. I think it's those 4 draws Wrexham, Boro, Portsmouth and Bristol City being so bad, make it feel like it happens every time we are leading.

We should have gave it to King in April never mind now, not because he's outstanding but because the decision makers are so bad, he'd at least do as well as whoever they hire and we'd save ourselves a heck of a lot of compensation. He would also have a better link with the academies be aware of what positions we need to buy and what we can fill internally, I'd prefer a big boardroom reshuffle but as that would be like Turkeys voting for Christmas just give it to King for 2 years now.

I'm not one for jumping on the sack bandwagon but the fact we mostly seem to start the first half better than the opposition on probably at least 8 occasions this season we go on to lose or draw once HT happens, makes me think we have better players but at least half the league has a better coach/manager.

Take Jordan James out the picture, I know they play in the same position but JJ is clearly our best player, where are you ranking Skipp of our normal starting 11? for me he's better than Thomas, either GK as neither have impressed for long enough, Ayew and Okoli
