  1. Hopefully we don't choke...
  2. Blackburn away, Swansea away, Sunderland at home, Cardiff at home are the ones I can remember off the top of my head.
  3. I haven't felt this connected to a Leicester manager since our Nigel. That's not to knock Claudio, I felt connected to him too but I feel like Maresca really wants to improve every single aspect of the club just like Nige did, and that goes a very long way with me.
  4. Haven't you just undermined one of the main purposes of this forum? I thought the whole point was to speculate about Leicester City?
  5. If we're in the Premier League next season, as it stands our CB options will be Faes, Coady, Souttar, Justin, Nelson and Vestergaard if he signs. We're hoping that we'll sign at least one new CB. The issue is, with the supposed financial issues will we have to move someone on to bring them in? It's clear that he's not particularly keen on Souttar, but will we be able to sell him? I would imagine that Nelson will be loaned out to a championship side?
  6. Mad to think that in 2013 Hull City won automatic promotion to the Premier League with a final points tally of 79, which is just one more than we have after 32 championship games this season.
  7. To be honest, if you're using 100 points as the yardstick for automatic promotion, then I reckon Leeds are more likely to get there than Southampton. Their fixture list is favourable and they really look like they're motoring now. Also, Farke's teams in the championship have done really well in the run-in. The last two Southampton games have shown me that they can be got at and they still have some very tricky fixtures. Ipswich need 2.5 points per game to hit 100 points. They probably have the most favourable run-in of the top four but they still have to go away to Hull, Coventry and Norwich, as well as having to play Southampton at home.
  8. I don't think they'll win every game, but I can certainly see them winning at least 10 of those 14.
  9. Our overall performance was poor on Saturday. Which of our players deserved to be in the team of the week?
  10. Our current points tally would have seen us finish fourth last season.
  11. That was poor. McAteer off please. Stephy on.
  12. Ditto. Mine on Soccerin HD has turned to a still of the EFL logo
  13. Yes. Been in training the past 2-3 days.
  14. Coady starts for me. If Coady plays and hits a bit of form, he could be a massive asset for us at this stage of the season.
  15. This season is an outlier. We were playing in Europe two years ago, Southampton had over a decade in the Premier league and Leeds spent a lot on players before going down and are arguably the biggest club in this division.
  16. These two don't rile me up as much as they do many of our fans, but this is a particularly horrendous take. Scrapping parachute payments would do so much more harm than good.
  17. Agreed. PPG up until this stage is irrelevant when predicting what's required to win promotion considering that Southampton are completely different beast now compared to September and that the fixture lists differ for each team. I'm looking at Leeds's fixture list and I really can't see them dropping many points. I'd be surprised if they only manage 2ppg for the rest of the season.
  18. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Leeds do. Looking at their fixtures, them winning twelve games and drawing two is completely plausible to me.
  19. Many Celtic fans seem to have had enough of Rodgers. I can see why. They looked exactly like we did in his final year, the only difference is that the have much better players than other teams in the league. If Celtic fail to win the league then the chances are he's finished managing at the top level.
  20. I'm doubtful that 94/95 will be enough at this point.
  21. That 34-38 game cluster for us makes me nervous.
  22. He looks much better for us than he has in previous seasons and that's not just down to the opposition that we have been playing. He's looked far more confident and assured. However, I can't help but think that he'll be ripped apart by better quality players.
  23. Will he though? He's a 31 year-old defender (will be 32 by the time next season starts) who doesn't have a great reputation at premier league level. I believe he has a young family as well, so he may not want to move.
  24. I swear you saw far more shocks last time we were in the championship. In that season we lost away at Doncaster, drew at home against Yeovil, lost away at Charlton and drew away at Blackpool, all of whom finished in the bottom six.
  25. I'm aware. I think that's the bare minimum we will need though. Wouldn't be surprised if we need more. It's a bit sickening when you consider that Hull were promoted on 79 points in 2013 and West Brom were promoted on 80 points in 2020.
