  1. Have to say the AI generated co-comms is very authentic
  2. You know Ndidi would have buried it too <same emoji>
  3. Obviously this depends on Mendy having a good game, but yeah on the face of it I'm a struggling to see it as a 'huge loss'. Forced or not, it attempts to address our main problem last week, and I don't think Youri contributed enough creatively to worry about that side of our game being kaiboshed
  4. As I've already said (I say this in a 'sorry if I'm being repetitive' way, not a 'why won't you listen' one) there's a minor punishment in having this open-ended judgment hanging over them for as long as it does take. At the very least, it makes for a slightly more interesting dynamic in terms of players coming in/out. I'm sure anyone not happy with an extended hiatus will be happy if the two parties come to some sort of agreement whereby Man City take a lesser punishment for some kind of legal 'capitulation'
  5. Maybe they could. But obviously this runs the risk (should they be unsuccesful in defending themselves) of this 'clever' bit of chicanery being factored (not explicitly, mind) into whatever punishment is handed out. Would also be interesting to see what potential signings think of coming to a club with an open-ended punishment hanging over them for months/years.
  6. That wasn't really my point (not that I don't agree with yours). I'm saying that whatever the final outcome, in the unavoidably lengthy (due to the scale of the charges, and the fact that summary justice isn't an option kids) interim while Man City fight this, we will have months of the PL being accused of doing nothing/backing down/going soft. Just as they've been accused of 'doing nothing/turning a blind eye to it' over the last four years, when they clearly haven't. Naturally, there will be a large subset of the people who made the latter claim shamelessly making the former.
  7. WTAF? The sad thing is seeing here the result of the usual FT race to see who can push the 'George Whitebread does conspiracy theories' envelope the most. That and someone (ah, yes, of course!) liking it. Again, because you clearly missed it... 'Those who monitor these kind of situations' have just charged Man City with over 100 breaches of financial rules after a four-year investigation.
  8. The sheer seriousness/extent of the charges and the length of time they cover (if they can't be lawyered away) would seem to preclude a mere wrist-slapping. At the same time it suggests a prolonged wait while MC fight the charges before any punishment is meted out (a period which will doubtless get portrayed as the PL backing down/going soft).
  9. Aye...
  10. The 'anything but title/cup stripping' camp need to be vocal, stay strong and on message. I'm aware that Man City having points deducted this season would further upset the Tottenham fans but this is a price worth paying for *completely cleaning up the PL * Todd Boehly's pants may need a boil wash
  11. This guy has been on the MC case(s) for a long time. If he says it's massive I'm inclined to agree. Very much worth reading the rest of the thread
  12. He got telt in the match thread. This is his butt hurt sarky pants incarnation
  13. 3 letters on the left arse cheek. 15 on the other. "He's moaning that we've paid too much for Tete"
  14. Already posted this on another thread, but people still seem unaware. Not sure what people would be saying if they'd found out the club had turned his request down... https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/west-bromwich-albion/2023/01/31/marc-albrighton-excited-by-west-brom-promotion-push-after-sealing-leicester-loan/ “I’ve really enjoyed my time at Leicester and it’s a fantastic club, but I’ve gone through a spell where I’ve not been playing regular football. “It’s not something that I’ve really been able to deal with well and I felt like I needed a fresh, new challenge. I want to come in here and show people that I can still play at a good level. It’s exciting for me. “I have kids that want to come and watch me play on a Saturday afternoon and they haven’t been able to do that recently. I’d love to get back out there and play as much as I can for them. I also have some friends who are big Albion fans who’ll be thrilled when this news gets released.”

  16. Now that makes perfect sense
  17. Hard to square this charming post with your profile stats
  18. Yes, playing alongside you-know-who. Since the WC he's been worse than Amartey. And people saying this is because Faes has had to 'babysit' Thomas haven't been paying attention to how shite Castagne has been this season.
  19. His claim, right at the start of the analysis proper, that Tete is "talented on both feet, even if he has a little bias to his left foot" does somewhat cloud what follows it.
