Worst defence we have had in the pl
Weller Wing replied to foxes_rule1978's topic in Leicester City Forum
I've always been surprised that we never do the warm up drills at the start of the 2nd half. They just walked out onto the pitch, and maybe this is one of the reasons we get caught out so early in the half and give ourselves a more difficult task. It also can prevent injuries -
LCFC 0-2 Palace,post match thread
Weller Wing replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
This is why Everton always stay up They're constantly shit , but there's always 3 teams even more shit. Palace looked like a premier side tonight even though they weren't great. We just haven't got the quality to even make a fight of it -
Still think he'd be better if he wasn't so isolated. The fact he's still got so much enthusiasm and aggression and players like Mavididi stroll around without putting anywhere near the same effort in , is embarrassing and shows how poor our recruitment has been for so long

Hate them but they're a decent side. Fast, fit and strong. Keeper played really well but as Liverpool upped it, they stayed strong and still gave Liverpool enough to worry about on the counter. They won't win the title but a very good night for them considering other results. Difficult game for me as probably the 2 of the 3 clubs I hate the most ( Chelsea)

😆👏👏 Not forgetting the half time lot. I went for p#ss right on the half time whistle at the Man City game and the concourse was rammed as I went down the stairs in the Kop

Hoping we can create an atmosphere similar to this, tomorrow night🤞😆

This aged well😆 -
Yes that's true I think that horrendous run of 1-0 away defeats to clubs with squads far weaker than ours , soured things a bit. We did play some very good stuff 1st half of the season until sides sussed us 👍
-
Maresca was frustrating, as that team should have brushed aside most of the championship but only just got over the line. I never knew he hated us with a passion, is this a fact or just your opinion? It's not a Dyche love-in from me , but I respect what he's done during his career and its without argument that he's good at keeping teams up , even if it's not entertaining. I can't say I've been very entertained this season and would kill for a couple of boring 0-0 away results , instead of the shitshows weve witnessed 👍

Don't know how old you are , but we had a manager (Irish) in the late 90's that used to go on about how we couldn't compete with the big clubs and had to scrap for every point, which annoyed many opposition fans. We did this amazingly well, with bargain players and journeymen, that did a fantastic job , fought really hard and we were pretty much in every game , until the final whistle, whoever the opposition was.

I would have taken boring football for a couple of seasons if it meant we could establish ourselves as a bottom half Premier team. Dyche, for a short period, could have stabilised us , and that's what we've needed since Brendan. We're probably going down and unlikely to be at the top table for a while and losing our best young talents as soon as they come through , or even before as has been discussed. I don't particularly mind the bloke , I don't like his brand of football, but he's been the type of manager we've needed during this rough time that looks to be getting worse. I hope things work out for Ruud, and I will support him ( apart from the Wolves game) but I'd have Dyche as his replacement, if things didn't work out , whilst we get some kind of competent leadership from above.

If the goalkeeping coach is called Jelle , you'd think he'd teach Ward how to set himself

QPR (H) - FA Cup 3rd Round (11th Jan, 2pm)

I wouldn't play Ward as he'd then be cup-tied and it might scupper a big money January transfer -
😆👏👏👏

Pity Bruno wasn't available tonight Could have had Declan Rice, Bruno Guimarice and even Ben White rice playing at the same time. Although their tackling sometimes gets them in hot water. With Darren Ambrosia and uncle Ben off the bench. I'll get my coat

Life's a lot easier when Man City win it as I don't know too many of their fans , although the ones I do, are proper fans and have seen the shit. London , Utd and Liverpool supporters are pretty annoying and most are plastic. Forest? Always hated them and always will. I don't think they'll win it , but I think they'll get top 4. A very well organised and effective side and I'm very jealous of where they are and where we are
-
It wouldn't be so bad if he was able to offer anything going forward. He gets in good positions, then checks back and we lose momentum. A player that really looked the business a few seasons ago but has really stopped doing everything that he was previously exceptional at. Another asset that now has no or very little value, and that's just one of the reasons the club is in such a mess

Villa (Away) Saturday 4th Jan 3pm (Match Thread)
Weller Wing replied to tcrofts's topic in Leicester City Forum
For the 2nd game running, we've played sides there for the taking. We moan about sides being lucky when they play others and get easy points. We're utter garbage and have nobody else to blame but those in charge of the club -
Any streams working for this? Oops, I meant our game

Let's hope he's right and nearly everyone on here is wrong. To not play Facundo, when he's been our best player apart from our overworked goalkeeper, is madness -

Had a feeling we could get something today but not very confident now -
Anything is possible and I think we've improved a bit since Ruud came in. I think we can survive but it will take a massive effort from everyone, from Top to the fans. I'm not negative but I know what I've seen the 1st half of the season and feel that we deserve to be where we are, based on the horrific performances, so far. I stand by my Ipswich have been better than us , so far, even without last night's result, but things can change and we have to hope it does. I remember people were laughing at Forest after we thumped them 2 years ago but they had the character ,and some luck, in putting a good run together, with the help of their home fans, and stayed up comfortably, whilst we went to pieces and dropped.
-
They've set themselves up to be hard to break down and have done pretty well but have been low scorers. You need to stay in games when you've just come up and see where it takes you, competing and making life hard for the opposition, especially when they are arguably better or more established players. I'd rather us be boring for a season and grind out the results needed in such a vital season for our future. I doubt even Southampton would want any of our back 4.
-
Well if your talking of not putting games to bed , I'd say Spurs,West Ham , Bournemouth and even Southampton would have been scratching their heads after those games where we got 10 of our points.
