If we assume that we aren't going for top six and let's face it, it's pretty unlikely, we should want the usual top six to win all their matches against the rest and draw with each other. We could be competing with any of the others either for a top 8 spot, or to avoid relegation. As such I find myself supporting the top six clubs against the rest. Feels dirty though.

Probably right, but he was still feeling his way in the prem. Iirc we were the only promoted team to stay up that season, so an achievement in its own right.

Definitely improving and looking a better all round player. Just needs to improve on when to shoot and when to pass, and keep up the higher work rate and involvement that he has had recently.

I agree and have said so previously. However I was replying to your implication that Jimmy's post was a shot at Shakes. I don't think it was.

I took Jimmy's post to mean that the the club (scouting/DOF/manager) had collectively failed to use the money provided by the owners wisely in recent windows. Hence why the owners might not want to risk throwing in even more money only for it to probably be squandered. Perhaps I misunderstood.
