  1. Didn't really look that pacey to me on Wednesday. There was at least one occasion when a through ball was played to him and I was surprised that the defender seemed to beat him to it. Hope he comes good eventually.
  2. He's talking bollocks, though it probably made more sense when he wrote it (the article is a couple of weeks old). Since then Conte has switched to 3 at the back and seems to be using Kante correctly like we did last year so he has more licence to surge forward rather than just pass it sideways. Since then he's looked much more at home and has had 2 or 3 really good games. Initially I just wanted him to fail & beg to come back (yes, I know it wasn't likely), but I think I'm about over it now.
  3. I'd like to see this but the Don seems averse to 3 at the back except as a temporary formation during a match.
  4. Yes, a conundrum.
  5. Must be loads of PL teams where he'd get a regular starting place. If we can't offer him one he'll be off.
  6. Really looked the business tonight.
  7. Harsh!
  8. True Georgie has us down for 7th. Think I'd take that.
  9. Anyone know if the Community Shield is being broadcast anywhere? I know it was asked earlier, but just seeing if there's any new info. Edit: Looks like it's on ESPN on Foxtel.
  10. Thanks for the reply Mark. You can only do what you can do Seems to be the way with modern software. 2 steps forward and 2 steps back. I suspect that a new generation of software designers comes in, don't know why things are done the way they are, and throw the baby out with the bath water. That's how we end up with atrocities like Windows 8
  11. New style forum is generally good, but is there any way to restore a proper time stamp in posts? Having a whole bunch of posts stamped as 21 hours ago is not helpful. Much better to have a stamp at least accurate to hours & minutes, particularly during match threads, to put the post into context of exactly what stage of the match it was posted. Highly retrograde change IMO.
  12. Thought arse offered him 4 years as well
  13. Can't we recycle Allez les Bleues in recognition of our French speakers?
  14. Thanks for that, but still think that there's some risk of it "going off in your hand" and am more comfortable with a dedicated test thread as I've found on other forums.Besides, tucked here out of the way, what harm does it do?
  15. Thanks for reopening this thread. I'm sure it is a potentially useful facility for people like me who aren't overly well versed in how to embed pictures & video, add emoticons, etc. It is expected that it will be full of rubbish - that's what it is for. Mods can always delete parts that they feel are a waste of server space if that's a consideration. Cheers.
  16. Yes, that was interesting. I think they use something similar here in Aus for Aussie rules football (AFL), though I've never looked into it.I know they have a salary cap for A-League soccer because Perth exceeded it last year and were heavily penalised.
  17. Surprisingly little new insight, lots of cliches & exaggeration. Decrepit little Leicester..., Nigel Pearson despot - tried to strangle an opposition player...
