I'm sure the owners were distracted for a large part of last season following the death of the king.

Thought he put in a good performance today. Still gets skinned now and again, but then again so does Fuchs. Still think he'd be better as a wing back at present, but who knows, with a bit more experience I've no doubt the defensive side of his game will improve.

To come into a PL side after 18 months languishing in the reserves or worse still injured and slot in so well is quite an achievement. He surely can only get better as he adapts to top level in this country.

I've noticed that the Avatar box no longer shows date joined. Is this deliberate? If so a retrograde step. Also after the main upgrade last year I commented on the new date stamp format which doesn't always give an exact time a post was made. I was told that the new software does not allow a proper date stamp. Is this still the case? Another retrograde step, which is a shame because everything else is vastly improved. Surely these sort of things should be configurable either at site level by an admin or at user level?

Give him whatever he wants (within reason) as long as we lose any release clause. It's money in the bank which we would recoup when he does finally leave. In the meantime we get to play a first class footballer.

Can't remember if he's had a turn playing alongside Morgan. If that's a good option we have the opportunity for constant rotation to give all of them old guys a bit more of a breather.
