My old man has been a city fan for over 70 years and has built up a collection of 100's of programmes dating back to the 1950's up to modern times including all the play-offs and FA Cup ventures. He has now decided he wants to sell them along with some old Speedway programmes from the 60's & 70's, anyone any idea how/where he can do this and what sort of price he should be looking at? Cheers

  8. Absolute hero of mine, never forget the day we signed him from Oxford (i was a 15 yr old school kid in Oxfordshire) all my mates were Oxford fans and gave me numerous dead legs, worth every single one of them!!
  9. We did our honeymoon in April which was 10 days in Sri Lanka followed by 4 nights in Maldives. Unforgettable trip with so many highlights as we travelled round the south west part of Sri Lanka, Kandy was great and the train ride to Ella is breathtaking as we got to sit with our legs hanging out watching the world go bye. little tip be careful how far you hang out the train as tight tunnels and platforms wizz by with no real warning! We did a safari at Udawalawe National Park which was incredible as Elephants, Crocs etc are all right by your jeep. The scenery in the mountains is incredible and well worth a visit if you can. We then headed south to Galle and the beaches there were amazing and the old fort a great visit to see the locals daily way of life. We ended up in Colombo for a few nights which was very hustle and bustle but had a cracking hotel so didnt need to travel out much. Cant recommend the place highly enough and will definitely return 1 day to explore more parts of the amazing country. Just shout if you have any queries on places to see/stay as we stopped in 8 different places which might of been a few too many in hindsight. As for the Maldives 1 word - Paradise!
  10. Took my 12 year old to Denmark for his birthday last week to watch AFG AArhus vs Viborg, 3rd vs 4th in the Danish Superleague. Great atmosphere and stadium with nearly 16k in there and you can drink litres of beer in your seats! only downside was those beers costs nearly 20 quid each!!
  11. great thanks, we are in Negombo our 1st night then head to Kandy, Ella, Uwalewale, Galle then Colombo for a few days before hitting the Maldives for some R&R!

  20. there is a permanent market called the Naschmarkt which is well worth a visit if you fancy a few cold ones and people watching. all the buildings are incredible even the local Spar looks a historic mansion! we did the Spanish horses as well which was incredible if you like that sort of thing, we also just wandered around the centre taking in the bars/cafes and more people watching. Suggest you use the tram/metro to get about as we stayed just outside near the river Danube
  21. hate to be pedantic but it was Maidenhead they played on Tuesday. I was there as they are my local side and was sat about 10 rows in front of them, both seemed very engaging and humble although need to work on their football vocabulary. At FT they walked right past my 16 yr old stepson who shouted "oi Ryan well played mate" and his response was "Good job guys"!
  22. not sure she will be still happy in 12 months time when her car still hasn't arrived! i work for a car leasing company and we deliver c5k new vehicles a month and for next year we have dropped that to c2k a month as none of the OEM's have a clue when they will be able to deliver anything new once the current stock runs out. As you say the positive is we are getting c£4k extra for every car we dispose of which is again around c5k a month, you do the maths!
