I was fortunate enough to buy a starter home in Enfield in the mid 90’s for 42k (the builders paid the deposit) on a salary of £14,000.

Sadly a lot of people for a variety of reasons ie estranged from their parents, or parents that have died simply won’t have that option.

That’s great for you, but unfortunately there are many people working hard who will be on 25-30K, struggling to pay their rent and other bills, who won’t be able to save anywhere near £200 a month. Unless a relative dies and leaves them a property, realistically they are going to struggle to afford to buy their own home. That’s really depressing.

Not sure how you think Japan could have been controlled. They were the most militaristic nation of their age with a god complex. If they had the bomb they would have demanded the total surrender of everyone around them.

I am hardly a big fan of the US, but just imagine if Germany or Japan had got there first. Doesn’t really bear thinking about.

Has anyone’s screen gone black (on an android) just after you dial the number, the call goes through, but since I’ve lost the screen can’t select an option when I hear the menu! Apparently quite common and something to do with the sensor. Has anyone fixed this themselves? Factory reset is the last resort.

Not many players can keep coming back from 5 legs down like Littler. Just too good, but credit to Wade.

Sadly, when extremists on both sides see the other as less than human, this tends to be the result. Mind numbingly incomprehensible as it may be to most others.

It’s been a great tournament, with some sensational matches and I really hope the final can carry that on. I just hope Wade can have a good start and can match Littler going into the final third, of what could be a very long match. Wade looked cream crackered yesterday. C’mon now!
